@14Edd14 Ehh, haven't tested, but I thought perhaps if I glued the plastic lock to the outside, stabbed some fishing line through it, and tied a knot, I could make it retract without using the other hand.

But I'm too lazy to try :P

Sobre el comentario de usar el cuchillo en la parte superior lo digo por la capasidad real de combate con este tipo de arma de esa forma queda tu mano libre para sujetar a tu oponente y el cuchillo lo dejas para usarlo como un estoque.

El estilo de karate shotokan usa una tecnica de combate que puede usarse con estas armas para ataques frontales.

si combinas un giro por detras de tu propia espalda tienes una tactica de combate formidabe al lanzar un ataque giratorio con la espada de tu braso.

Exelente arma pero tiene un problema, es muy facil cortarse la mano.

Hay un juego llamado Starcraft donde los zealots usan aramas de ese tipo solo que por la parte superior del braso al igual como el depredador de la pelicula usa sus cuchillos por encima del braso, intentenlo de esa forma les resultaria mucho mas comodo.

Por lo demas muy buena idea.

The rig is build from bfx check it out on youtube, he just put a blade instead of a gun (the original weapon) the video is: "BFX quick draw sleeve gun", or simply watch : "pop goes the gun weasel" and by the end they show you links and stuff to go and see how they build it.

Autolock? Well, it locks when it slides out, and you push down a tab under the blade to retract it.

You can retract. You just push the latch at the back of the blade, or alternatively don't slide it out fully (the latch causes friction at the end of the slide, so it takes extra force for the blade to fully extend, so if you just gently extend it, it'll be able to retract with a quick elbow jab)
