But I do understand that darkness. And yes, I hope nobody finds that place in their lifetime. However there are other artists who convey hard times more effectively such as Avett Bros, Langhorne, and Old Crow. Those guys can lift me from the darkness, not drive me into it.

As we all know, much like food, some music isn't for everyone. Jessica's music doesn't really drive me into any kind of darkness. I just find it relaxing, simple, and beautiful. And up-tempo music doesn't really do it for me. But hey, no hard feelings.
