With out a doubt, Jake Hooker. Back in the day, i would never miss a Saturday night at the Golden Stallion, in Kirby, Texas when Johnny Bush played there. Of course, that was way back in the early early 70s. Too bad they shut it down. Is now an auto auction. I read an article on Jake Hooker, and he said that Johnny Bush was his biggest influence in country music,
as i have gotten older i've switched from genre to genre and gotten farther away from country...but i decided to listen to it today and i got teary-eyed thinking of when i was small and my dad would play this and dance around the living room with me
Great song and Jake did it as good as anybody !
