in roman times, people enjoyed watching gore and violence in the arena, where trained slaves would fight each other (or savage beasts) to the death. Nowadays we enjoy our dose of violence by watching movies or video games.
I'm not saying everyone enjoys this, but i do believe that its just part of our human nature when we do.

@keepthevinylalive I agree, I'm interested in the struggle of life and I watch plenty of violence. Sometimes its to much for my tastes and this is def to much.
This wasn't even about that, its about the blatant level of violence in the media these days. People have been so badly desensitized by the media that were all nothing more than cowards being led around by violent media and violent governments. Do you buy into anything just because of violence? Also I'm not 100% Hollywood quite the opposite, I'am also an atheist. Just because you don't believe in god doesn't mean your without morals.
You don't get it. The Japanse do not know puritanism. They do not know perverse sex. Ichi is to a Japanese what the Teletubbies are to you. Not exactly. But you impose your cultural values on a culture you do not understand.
And Japanese movies are a big issue in American media?
@PaulieZeRd I haven't watched it, I merely watched the trailer. I think it looks to lame to watch in its entirety. I like violence when its badass, not torturing chicks.
@HistorysMysterys if you were commenting on a movie like "tokyo gore police" i would totally agree with you, but theres just a lot more to this movie than gore and abuse of women
