First hovercraft driving

A hovercraft sits on a cusion of air! anywhere between 8 - 12" (10psi+) the skirt is the only physical item to touch ground hense it hovers. Anything over a couple of feet it comes under avation legislation thats why the operators are called pilots!

I don't understand why they call it HOVER-craft when it doesn't even hover. Do you even know what the word hover means?

Hovering (levitation), the process by which an object is suspended by a physical force against gravity, in a stable position WITHOUT SOLID PHYSICAL CONTACT ON ANY SURFACES.

This hovercraft is still touching the surface, its not really a hovercraft. Its an inflatable-craft.
