@SPOOKSTR I think you should consider Rossi's first couple of seasons with Yamaha, and the fact that he stepped down from Honda to give a lesser team (at the time) a try, and he still conquered the championship. Rossi is getting old yes, but I think we have yet to see another championship from him. Stoner is a fantastic rider, but if you're comparing them side by side at their prime, Rossi is still the best to me. You're entitled to your own opinion, of course.

Fair comment, but i think you'll find Stoner's competition during his time in the premier class has been against better/more technically educated riders than Rossi had to face when he first entered Moto GP. You only need to see Stoner race live at the track and you will see, he out rides everyone. If you've ever been to see Moto GP live, you'd have to agree with me.

And he won several other GP's in 2010 season on the Ducati.

Valentino Rossi has not made a mistake, He has had barley no testing for the ducati as he shoulder was affecting the results, the ducati is having front end problems and is a complete opposite bike of the yamaha he was on. He isn't bothered about winning in 2011 he is just testing the bike ready for next years 200cc bike. Next year's bike will be a winner. You can never write of the doctor.
