Probably won't get any more onboard videos as the wrc broadcast is now done by eurosport & there onboard camera systems don't allow them to capture long onboard shots.

North one Sport who produced WRC since 1996 used onboard cameras that recorded to internal media allowing them to capture full stages. Eurosport use live onboard cameras (only on 9 cars) & this system rely's on where the helecopter is, if the helecopter is out of range then there is no onboard footage avaliable from the car.

@WiseGuy02 Volkswagen is coming this year. There was 5 manufacturers 10 years ago, there is going to be 4 now this year competing the full season.

@truefalse The mini competes in the super 2000 class, so not with the big boys. So really it's 3 manufacturers. I don't see why Mini is spending a lot of money entering S2000 when most likely they can't win. I'm sure they'll get sick of not winning and pull out of rallying in a year or so. VW entering with the Polo might be interesting, as long as it's not a half-arsed attempt.

@hax0r117 He is still accelerating into the corner as late as he can up to that very last moment. You can see the the nose doesn't dive down from baking until the down shift.

@hax0r117 Another thing to keep in mind is how the tranny is set up. If it's too close together for the stage that will lead to constant shifting to take advantage of the power and torque output. Also, yes mbc92028 is correct. He seems to be keeping as much momentum as possible entering the apex and then powering out.

@lakimakromedia the only one of these you show i like, is the one from vatanen. thats simply perfect. but with today´s seats not possible anymore. but that tänak view comes close to it. the other ones are totally boring in my opinion. when you dont see anything of the drivers work its not so special. at the tänak onboard you can see him turning the wheel and shifting, and its wideangle, so you got a better feeling for the speed. much better then those roof, bonnet or bumper cams...

In Tänak onboard ~30-40% of view are seats, and for road its too small, working hands are almost invisible, and most important - in WRC from today times wheel have to small ratation angle to work of hands be so important

@lakimakromedia yes, these onboards are fine, shure. i only was talking about those outside cameras, these are often boring. thats my opinion. but it seems like it´s not so easy in a modern wrc to place a camera in a good way, so i prefer the tänak view from all other camangles from this year. only hirvonen´s cam was almost good, but i still miss the wideangle: watch?v=SFlkKm6MVkE

@deggis4 Hirvonen's view is much better IMO. Tanak view reminds me of 2010 Ogier view from Rally Finland, which was good but not perfect.
