This is an awsome album. By far one of the most underrated Sabbath albums of all time. I've always said the my favorite Sabbath is Dio, then Tony Martin. As for Ozzy his stuff is great with Sabbath, but I prefer him as a solo artist.
I'm not much a sabbath lover. I don't care what happens in black sabbath universe. SO: I listened this song with the attitude "Blaah wat another shitty black sabbath tune like all these 'Paranoids and stuff".. BUT! I listened the hypnotic riff and chorus, and I was blown away. Damn cool song. And after that I started seeking more tony martin black sabbath. Ozzy is such a clown nowadays. Headless cross and TYR rocks!
awesome song. excellent singer. I don't understand why this is so underrated.
@bassman0704 He did one solo album called "Scream". Pretty good...... He was also singer on an album called Rondinelli. I really enjoyed that one. Had to order it from Europe though.
What are the strange images of the house?? Is this the legendary Moncado house in the Philipines?? Not many people (gringos) are aware of this Philipino stateman and controversial philosopher.
Even though the production was uneven there are still some decent riffs on the album. Also, I like Cozy Powell's drum work which sounds great even with the muddy production. I agree that Iommi gave Martin a raw deal. No doubt about that.
The major problem with this album is the studio sound it's crap. It was produced by some rap artist who knew nothing about hard rock. Had Cozy and Tony Iommi produced it would have been so much better. This album has a harder edge than Headless Cross and TYR & there are a couple of good songs on it. But have listen to how much better the studio sound is on Cross Purposes the album before this one !
This is one of the only two songs on Forbidden that I like. I realy liked the rest of the Martin era, but Forbidden was the Martin era version of Tehnical Extacy, mostly fillers and nothing that realy stands out.
It is a shame that they couldn't do any better, since it is the same lineup from Tyr, which is one of my favorite albums from any of Sabbath's singers (probly right behind Heaven and Hell and Master of Reality)
I can't explain it, but I love this album.

I agree that production was a major problem. Cross Purposes was an underrated gem.

I have never heard this track before either. It is really good, but then again, all SABBATH is GOOD. CHEERS. AZ.

Thanks for your reply. Forbidden was the weakest of the Martin albums. TYR was definitely stronger.

I purposely picked an unknown song. It would be too easy to try to make a vid for a huge song.
