  • So sick of this lordship salvation movement. Why cant people see through it? I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but, child please!! I can only conclude that it's the last shred of carnal man clinging to his prideful nature hoping he has some critical part to play in the work of the cross. God's grace is antithetical to our fallen state, so we just gotta believe we must do SOMETHING to earn it. The more I accept His grace the more I want to repent. Thank you Jesus!

  • i have no idea wht he is saying here...why in the world do theologians even try to speak if they cannot communicate, or give a synopsis from time to time...i personally do not believe in lordship salvation as defined by john mccarthur...we are saved at a moment in time ..by God...sure there are others who have said faith but are not born again, that is whom mccarthur needs to target

  • @empiricalpoet Just because you can't follow along doesn't mean other can't. I fully understood his words.

  • @fivepointbaptist ok please tell me is he a proponent of lordship salvation? thank you

  • @fivepointbaptist ya Dr. Morey always makes perfect sense in my opinion...one of my favorite teachers for sure

  • this video needs a summary statement

  • Jesus said that whoever does not bear good fruit will be cut down & thrown into the fire. I'm pretty sure he was right. We were saved from out past sins and created in Christ for a purpose: to do the good works of God which he prepares that we should walk in them. Eph 2:10. We have died to the flesh and its filthy rags to do the works of God which He prepares. He does not prepare filthy rags for us to do. If we do not do them, we are a branch cut off from the Vine and thrown into the fire.

  • Did he just not show up anywhere else in the entire world? Jesus was a jewish name and sent for the Jew originally. So whose to say the word of God was not sent to every culture for that culture and maybe those incarnations who said the same thing and taught the same thing were all the same word of God who showed up as a brother of that particular nation of peoples. I don't know. I am dizzy now. I am spent. get back at me. LOVE AND LIGHT -yakman Buddha

  • . If its through the word of God which was the spirit of Jesus how do we know who is saved. Wouldn't it be not just Christians but any one in any culture who has believed and followed the same word of God even before he incarnated into Jesus? then if its not by the word what will God do with those who died before Jesus. So then if its the word of God that you come to God by, how do you know where else God's incarnated before his work with the Jews?

  • oh and question doesn't john 10:16 help this argument. also wasn't Jesus the word of God. So is it really the incarnation of the word of God that one is saved by. Or do we get to God through his word which is a spirit was always around since the beginning and was in activation before the actual incarnation

  • Not hating on all the other info. Just saying, would love to see the higher educated Christians start posting something for the little guy who has practice questions. I learned ALOT from this! Don't get me twisted. Just venting! lol Can't seem to find anything I need to know from the teachers I respect most on you tube! Most great guys don't do the YouTube! which sucks!

  • Great word!

  • all these Lordship Salvation teachers (works salvation) they claim you got to do works or your not a christian. "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS." Rom. 4:5 people dont listen to this guy read the Bible. He also is a Calvinist which is also a heresy

  • Where rationalism leads us. What is interesting to this, I see the same arguments used against Calvinism as God is seen judging unfairly as subjected to linear time but using the same arguments against Calvinism in unjustly God making people sinners and then unfairly judging humanity for being sinful since God chose people to be dammed for being made sinners-making God evil and responsible for all sin-rape/murder

  • @daveme7 hey dave? yeh i'd call myself a calvinist but this is something ive been struggling with lately , could you suggest any resources i could have a look at to settle it ? any help would b heaps appreciated : )

  • @Scottles293 I apologise for not getting back to u sooner. I hate to do this, study the bible and ask God to teach you. Do not read any books for or against Calvinism-just the bible and whatever you use for studying the scriptures. Pray is the big thing to me because of the book of James. Now, I do not know too many resources or should I say-I have a lot. On this, I have been trying to find common accusations and questions to put into an answer book-one question per page.

  • @Scottles293 I did think of a resource dspite what I just wrote-Calvin did dealwith this in his Institutes in the 18th chapter(last one) and am sure in his commentaries did this also. With this, am trying to put somethi8ng together like these kindof ideas answered 9in an answer book. The problems I see is for the non Calvinists, they see God outside of time. For the Calvinists, those agai8nst put God in time in a sequential manner or linear way(line-a to efor example)

  • @Scottles293 With this, this is where the false accusations come in that God unfairly judges people to be dammed to hell without gi ven them the chance to ever be saved. This because placing God in time allows them to make this a point of contention God is unfair. Yet if we apply the same standard to the anti Calvinists, they fall into the same trap-the omniscience of God also can be the same way. Manhas no chance of salvation because the knowledge of God foresaw this therefore

  • @Scottles293 Because the omniscience of God foresees people rejecting Christ, this becomes the alley oop that God is still unfair as the onmiscience of God sets the decision of humanity as unyielding and restricting the ability-lets say-changing your mind. In the end-Psalms 14, 53, amd Romans 3 teaches we all regected Christ as in, "There were none who seek after God" Is God unfair for sending His Son to die?He planned it, allowed it to happen, and then destroyed Israel for doing what God willed

  • monty is prob foaming at the mouth to make a response, hahaha...be on the look out.

  • Interesting stuff, for sure. I'm a little confused about what he says about Charles Finny, howevor. Didn't Finney place the requirement of sinless perfection on people in order to be saved? That's what all of his followers (i.e. Openairpreacher, Kerrigen Skelley, Jesse Morell, etc.) seem to be saying. Are they simply ignorant of what Finney actually taught?

  • @StutteringDave Right, thats why he said they apply to one what they apply to the other. IOW, Pelagians believe works save you AND works are required for assurance/sanctification. They apply works to both justification AND sanctification. Where as the other extreme says works don't play a role in either justification or sanctification.

  • WOAH! keep em coming bro, amazing amazing material!!!

  • AWESOME STUFF, God bless you brother :)

  • @granjitsingh Just released part 2 and part 3 will be ready shortly. Blessings.
