Its because Sasuke wants to leave to gain power with Orochimaru and Naruto wants to stop him no matter what.

Hmmmm, Sasuke feels he needs to gain power in order to kill his brother, Itachi, for the massacure of his clan and family. Naruto doesn't want Sasuke to go to Orochimaru because Orochimaru plans to use Sasuke's body as a container for his will/soul. Naruto fights with Sasuke because he wants to bring him back and because of other reasons, such as their rivalry, etc etc.

Sasuke fights not just because he wants to go to Orochimaru, but also because of what his brother told him: That in order to gain the legendary Mangekyo (sp?) Sharingan, he must kill his closest friend. On top of that, Sasuke, mad at his own lack of power, feels threatened by Naruto's recent growth in power. And so on, and so forth.

meh...this particular episode is NOT where Sasuke decides to leave...he is only testing his stregnth to see if he really is better than Naruto...he feels as though Naruto has been growing stronger exponentially while Sasuke stays the same... the episode where they are fighting because sasuke wants to leave is much later in the series.that episode is at a waterfall, with statues of the 1st and 2nd Hokages...this is just leading up to what happens later on...*sigh*
