the house wasnt a mobile home, it was build with ecoblocks. they walls were solid concrete and the people were in the house when it hit. i myself was sitting on my porch 500 yards away while the insulation from their ceilings were thrown against the walls of my house.

Those are the guys that claim to be chasers but only make chasers look bad. That thing never should have been chasing them. They should have taken an alternate road and gotten behind it so it would then cross in front of them instead of them running away from it.

this is fairly common in kansas. i live in wichita and it's been awhile since one hit here but i remember the andover tornado(right outside wichita) and haysville. there was debris found 50 miles north of haysville.

Which makes me wonder if we're going to get a terrible surprise in June and/or July.

I live in Topeka, I've only had the chance to chase a few tornados northeast of town around Lake Perry. You guys have some balls staying that close to it like that, although, I'd be driving a hell of a lot faster on those backroad two lane highways if that son of a bitch was coming toward me.

Hehe wow those are the days huh...I fell in love with tornadoes at the age of 10 as well...i'm 20 now and tornadoes still fascinate me. If you stay with it it could turn into a high paying career when you grow up.

No, you can't. It is an expensive hobby, and occasionally, you can score good footage that the networks will buy. Main problem is, there are hundreds of people that do this now, so getting rare footage is not likely anymore, so the going rate for that footage goes way down. It's fun and beautiful to see. I've never done it for the money, and my bank account shows it. LOL.
