the best part of this cover is that they don't try to sound like rush. so many bands try and end up sounding bad usually because they can't get the voice right. they would be better off just putting out their own interpretation, like these guys did.
The fact that you guys chose this song to cover tells me you have great taste. Awesome job. Well done. I like it. Heavy and driving like the original.
Not my type of music, but I'm cool with any band keeping the genius of RUSH's music alive. As these guys are from Toronto, I'm glad they are paying homage to their hometown heroes, too. A little too disco-ey for my taste, but they still kept true to the spirit of the song in my opinion. Kudos!
Don't listen to the criticizm. New Order rocks as well as Rush. And they work very well together in this version. And in actuality, it was your cover that inspired me to cover the same song. Check out my version if you want on Myspace. Band name: Razed In A New Division Of Agony
Pretty good. I like the way they have twisted Subdivisions into their own style. I never see the point in doing covers if your just replicating the original.
This is the second best Rush cover I have heard so far (Dream Theater covering YYZ was the best). The thing that makes most Rush covers sound so bad is that the musicians are either not good enough to attempt to play songs written by the finest musicians in Rock music, or the vocalist tries to sound like Geddy Lee (which is nearly impossible). You avoided both traps by changing the song to your style and updating it's very 80's sound so it is playable today. Nice job!
I'm a really big rush fan and I have to hand it to someone who has the courage to attempt on covering a song and putting their own twist on it and not just regurgitating something that we might as well hear the original band do. Great job!
Holy hell. This is absolutely brilliant. I'm attempting to put together a few Rush covers as well, and I'm doing a similar version as we speak, but I'm not sure how I'll make it nearly as cool as this! Rock on!
thanks! go to www.trenchrun.com you may be able to download it from our site...(I'm not sure) otherwise drop us an e-mail with your contact info and I'll be happy to send you some stuff.

From a Rush fan of 30 years I was a bit skeptical, but they have alot of heart. They represent.

Not all covers have to be exact replicas of their original counterparts. This is a great, interesting rendition of an incredible song.

The video is seizure-inducing, but the cover is pretty rockin'. All industrial and synthy and stuff. I enjoyed this.

Very impressive work. Prefer the original (of course), but I like what you've done. Good vocalist too.

i've been listening to Rush for over 15 years now...
I personally think this is very well done.
I especially like how you consciously retract in
your melody lines. the expressions.
this song seems to hold in some of the
emotions of the original one.
seems aggressive but refrained at the same time...
I don't know, just my feeling.
Anyway excellent job.
