40% goes to growing fish. The other 60% goes to feed poultrey, pork, beef, and your pet fluffy. At estimated feed rates of 1.2lbs to grow 1lb of salmon, 3lbs for 1lb of poultrey, 5lbs for 1lb of pork, 8lbs for 1lb of beef, and we Know you are not going to eat Fuffy. Where do you think wild fish by-products and waste should go to feed the world? Makes sense to me to grow the most with taking the least.
After antibiotics therapy, salmon raising a lot of time and when harvest time comes - salmons don't have it.
And not always salmon are feeded with antibiotics contained feed. There is some kind of procedure and if it necessary it's will be done, if not they will don't do it.
Well, you have to think about salmon as a source of good protein, about omega 3 fat oils, about great taste, and of course about wild salmon sockey protection. Eat famed salmon
@viper10011 you are the one that needs education. The sources of the videos you speak of are biased and have financial gains from the sale of farmed salmon. Try researching yourself and not looking at others findings, then base your opinion.
Stop pretending to be helping the consumers by farming salmon. What do you do to monitor the fish health and the impact of the environment? How many more carcinogens are found in farmed salmon that is not found in the wild salmon? Next you'll say they're fed proper diet; ? What are they fed; is the food natural to the eating habits of the salmon in the wild, like eating krill? And for the antibiotics that are injected into the fish, it is passed onto the consumer to eat. Say no to farmed salmon!

I really enjoy fish and chips, with cod. So I was wondering is it possible to start up a cod farm?
