  • and thats why epileptics are not allowed in the modern army

  • Listen to the orders, not the voices in your head!

  • My sister does what Archie does, she calls out and starts shaking its scary.

  • @ 5:25 - 5:54 makes me wonder what all Simpson did to Archie while on the Justinian. The poor guy became completely helpless when Simpson looked at him.

  • NO, FUCK SIMPSON!

  • Blaye! They'll need to be careful. There's a four-block nuclear power station there.

  • @tigranvartanovitch What does, "four-block" mean? Four towers?

  • @Songsmirth The Blaye power station does indeed have four reactors. The block is the reactor, the equipment that tends it, and the buildings that house the reactor and and its equipment.

  • THATS FUKING DICIPLIINE KEEPING QUIET EVEN THOU YOUR LEGS BLOWN OFF THE MIGHT OF THE BRITISH NAVY

  • "Yes all right mr simpson do not distress yourself even further"

  • They could have named this one HORNBLOWER: Whacked on the Head

  • Dorian ( Simpson ) is a pussy cat really :)

  • The great thing about Pelew is, he knows when to stop. :-)

  • instead of saving Simpson Hornblower should have let him drown.

Hornblower: Dont say anything lads, and I'll buy drinks at Gibraulter

  • lol thats the second film Ioan gruffudd is in a little boat looking for survivors lmao :D i bet hes getting pretty bored of it! lol

  • 0:15

screams of the wounded and dying. captain: silence

    complete silence.

  • maybe they died at that moment.

i'm obviously joking but thats the best i could come up with.

  • @GorinRedspear Captain Pellew is so badass that when he tells you to be quiet, even if your leg has been blown off, YOU SHUT UP!

  • another racial biological youtube discussion? Yay! 30's, here we come!

  • @OnkelMickwald The only thing that's changed is the law, huh?

  • At 0:48 does anyone see the object in the water to the right in the ocean? Is that suppose to be there? :s Bouey?

  • Yes, if you notice the fire was coming from a coast battery, they were within rage of their guns so there probably could be bouies about.

  • @Philosopher398

I think it -is- a bouy, but it's suppost to be there. I think it's a marker of the 'kill zone' for the shore batteries. Basically marking out their effective range.

  • Do you think anyone today speaks as they did over 200 years ago? And besides English is a mongrel language as much as are the people every race from the continent at sometime occupied the island and contributed to the gene pool. For God's sake your royalty harken from France and Germany!

  • Well, I was brought up in a very 'proper' english household, so I have the textbook english accent that they had in those times, and have replicated in the film, but the vocabulary has changed somewhat, evolved in certain areas with the times... ^_^

  • sir you are speaking out of your arse you insult my people with your blastfamous tounque you make acusations about are history i demand satisfaction

  • @lordbale33 I offer to be your second

  • Perhaps not (to your first question), but there are WORDS from 200 years ago which haven't changed meaning. 'Slay' still means to 'kill'. 'Save' still means 'apart' ('bring the bottles, save those which are broken'). Two words which have changed are 'without' and 'within'. In the old days, 'without' meant 'outside' and 'within' meant 'inside'. Only 'within' really holds that meaning today in Modern English.

  • Each successive wave of immigrants has changed the genetics by no more than 5%.

    Try again.

  • actually there is no france in our royalty.

  • @stphrb

technically, some dialects off coastal Virginia and the Carolinas, Massachusetts, and in parts of Scotland and Ireland, and possibly Cornwall, have remained largely unchanged in 200 years (in the coastal islands off Virginia, even longer, as much as ~350 years). the key to their preservation is isolation-especially in the American south.

but many of these are dying out or changing more rapidly-especially in the America. that's digital media and the TV for ye.

  • Inside the book when the character was having a seizure before the nights attack, he was screaming something like: "Mary!! mary, no!" or something like that (its been a few years since i read the book) and I don't know, but is that what Archie was shouting?

  • the papillion. omg, who ever names a ship a butterfly,, lol

  • I just want to thank you for uploading.

    :-)

I didn't even know there had been made a series of this. I've read and re-read the various adventures of C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower since I was a child.

    =)

  • archie does'nt say much does he

  • actually the person who plays archie is not amreican he is english

  • no, his father is american and his mother speaks an irish dialect. Both of them dont speak british!

  • he is still british

  • He has an irish mother who speaks like an scot who lost his kilt.

Thats why he is having enormous trouble to faking that LONDON-style-british-accent.

  • um he's was born in fucking hammersmith, london dutchie. He has american citizenship through his dad. So he's only half a yank but british born & bred.....twat

  • dont dutchie me dicky

  • Well then piss off dutchie if you're gonna make trouble on here.....wanker

  • northern ireland is british u poof.

  • What was that on the right at 0:48

  • You ask a damn good question, I have no idea. I don't believe bouy's like that existed in the 1790s era. I could be led to believe its a range marker for the shore-batteries... but it shouldn't look quite like that.

  • And so the channel escort magically appears off the coast of France?

  • :O horatio is the one who rescues Kate in Titanic!!

  • HE IS!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @Vajeea Must'a been deja-vu for him during the rescue scene(s)!

  • @Vajeea

lol true:D thanks, i didnt notice. i guess thats his job as an actor: Saving people from sunken ships.

  • @Vajeea we were to late KEEP LOOKING

  • @Vajeea we were to late KEEP LOOKING yopu know there's actually some story of some guy who was aboard the titanic who was in WWII who made an extra effort to save people. very interesting stuff!
