  • Really ......that was shitty get a fucking bumper that is made to do the job and do it right. A fairlead is tough or at least it should be . How often are you winching were this is a good idea I could see this shitty thing failing. Oh cool it rotates .......get a real winch

  • every one of these cars should come out factory with a winch lol

  • i dont understand whats the purpose of it rotating?

  • @triplejayvideos To keep heavy binds off the fairlead; as you can see by it rotating, it does not need a fairlead

  • Buy ARB´s

  • I wouldn't bother wasting your time. When the winch rotates its just going to get hung up on rocks and other shit, and they way it would have to be mounted to the bull-bar to allow it to rotate will be weak compared to a conventional winch.

  • sorry but this is an invention for a problem that isn't there. for starters the rope is being put though allot more stress, its being twisted an pulled in all directions rather then a constant. The wire already on the drum is badly managed as you can see. sorry, good idea in theory but in practice a standard winch is more then affective given the correct training.

  • I like. Would like to test it in Borrego Mtn Ca.

  • wtf is the point? not like a normal one doesnt do the same thing

  • junk

  • WHY?

  • so whats new with this, mine also winds it self up also and winds up nicely.

  • intelligent for someone who wants to complicate the simplist offroad thing, dont quit your day job!

  • The only downfall i can see with this is that it won't work with 99% of the bumper out there. Otherwise from that awesome idea

  • this looks very promising

  • Very cool!!

  • That's neat

The sliding fairlead itself is amazing,

Is there a pin to isolate the movement while driving and not using the winch?

  • I'd say it needs to be higher up so that none of the winch goes below the car.

  • interesting but what happens if it is coated in mud?is the sliding mechanism strong enough to work when covered in mud?is the ends of the winch not in danger of being damaged as they swing below the level of the bumper?

  • pretty cool. How much weight can it handle?

  • Interesting design - Isn't the world amazing, you've come up with a unique solution the problem. When everyone else is thinking about sliding hawse's, you just angle the winch. Thanks for your contribution and I wish you the best with your design.

  • The driver is Dan Ehrlich, what a driver...
