@johncartelli – To accomplish this technique you route the strings from the Tune-o-matic side of the Stop Bar Tail Piece. This allows the string to wrap around the Stop Bar Tail Piece changing the break angle. This is how the original Les Paul’s (& Les Paul Jr.) were strung prior to the introduction of the Tune-o-matic Bridge - when the Stop Tail was the Bridge. I found a video titled “Tune-o-matic fix” that shows the Strings wrapped over the Stop Bar. Hope this helps!
@boxingin if you do a lot of bending of the G string your problem may come from the nut slot grabbing the string and not allowing it to go back to pitch. I solve this (or try to) by using graphite in the nut slots for all of my strings (on all of my Guitars).
@boxingin Also for this Guitar, or any with a stop tail bridge, I’ll also wrap my strings over the top of the stop tail bridge. In my opinion this helps with string tension / string feel and makes bends easier. I also grind down any rough spots on the bottom of the stop tail bridge and try to get it down on the body as much as possible to allow for max string vibration transfer. I hope these tips help.
I really liked this guitar for blues style lead and rhythm playing... I sold it to help purchase a new (Vintage) amp. I hope you continue to enjoy yours. Thanks for the Reply
Thanks for the Comment!! My main influence would have to be Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) but through the years I have been playing I've gone through many listening phases. For instance from old Chess recording artists (Muddy, Albert King, etc. to Hendrix, Billy Gibbons, Johnny Winter to Dime-Bag Darrell of the late great Pantera. I listen to as much as music as I can and let it trickle down or filter to my fingers. Any Comments are greatly welcomed

My G string (3rd) always goes flat after playing it for about 10 minutes. Any advice?

Thanks!! Great Guitars... I had to let mine go to help finance a '64 Fender Super Reverb, which is a great Amp. Enjoy the Guitar!

I haven't counted for awhile, so thanks for the reality check :) I began playing guitar in 1988, so I've been playing for 20 years.
