Its not that MACs suck, its that MAC users are very vocal about how they think PCs are terrible. Truth is simple, MACs have a lower learning curve, but also a lower level of customization because all MACs come from producer.
Best thing you can do with mac - get it free (as a gift, find, steal, whatever) or cheaper and sell it. That's the thing which is actually smart. Sell something overprized as shittier because people are convinced by those shamless ads how macs is great in Apple commercial and how they really are in reality and gain great profit.

i went into software update and after it updated all of my expensive programs like word, excel, even dictionary said "this application no longer works with your version of Mac OSX".

I'm a computer science major. I use PCs and Macs. They're both usable, intuitive, and all-around good. Holy shit. Did the world explode? But in a business Mac is not going to work. They do not have Mac specialists to come and install a complete system of computers while also providing in house support. You can hire a Mac consultant to do it but they charge around $200/hr. Macs are too expensive as well for lack of hardware. Lastly, Macs tend to have a terrible time in configuring large scale networks with mutliple admins.

@GeneStarwind09 personal is not the right adjective but its difficult to explain. using a Mac feels more intuitive especially with those touch gestures on the Macbooks. Also Apple's support is very good and large part of that purchase price. Since the hardware and software are both created by the same people it tends to have less compatability issues than windows, although I rarely experience any issues. These things help Mac to feel less like a computer and more like a 'personal' companion

I have a Macbook pro, had to order with more mem to make it even compare to a PC that I custom ordered from Dell and paid nearly twice the price. My tech workstation that the company provides me is miles more advanced and literally cost 10 dollars more. That is 8 cores, 12g mem, 500g internal with another esata slot with another 500g drive. I like knowing that Steve Jobs' ghost cant take away all my sata ports on my dell too.

These people are stupid but unfortunately this is the majority of the world and so Apple is capitalising on a HUGE market here by making ads that these people can be like "oh, thats exactly how I feel' then they go buy a mac. even though with win7 its relitively the same compatability and ease of use now, macs still have that upper edge with their historic ease of use over windows and people who have used windows in the past and wont risk buying a computer they cant use.

And windows movie maker just doesn't create movies as smooth as imovie. and what about smoother operations, windows flashes stuff in your eyes. ios moves smoothly. @GeneStarwind09 personal is not the right adjective but its difficult to explain. using a Mac feels more intuitive especially with those touch gestures on the Macbooks. Also Apple's support is very good and large part of that purchase price. Since the hardware and software are both created by the same people it tends to have less compatability issues than windows, although I rarely experience any issues. These things help Mac to feel less like a computer and more like a 'personal' companion

I have a Macbook pro, had to order with more mem to make it even compare to a PC that I custom ordered from Dell and paid nearly twice the price. My tech workstation that the company provides me is miles more advanced and literally cost 10 dollars more. That is 8 cores, 12g mem, 500g internal with another esata slot with another 500g drive. I like knowing that Steve Jobs' ghost cant take away all my sata ports on my dell too.

I use both Macs (the ones at school) and PCs and Macs are a freaking hassle. I don't understand why they claim it's intuitive.
