what i did was: buy a digital tape recorder, and then started the battle, after Sephiroth starts moving, pause the game turn the volume up so the recorder can pick up the music better, and then stop it after about 4 minutes, that should be a sufficient amount of time.

After that, look and see when he's tensing up to do his "ice kamehameha." I find that jumping and gliding when he does it is fastest. Whenever he goes down on one knee, jump over to him and Ragnarok his ass! When his health goes down to 2 bars and lower, he starts using more icicles. Up to 10 converging icicles. It's easier then.
I noticed you used the version from the original game. If you watch this OWA then watch others you'll notice a change in orchestration. And if nobody knows what OWA is TAKE A GUESS!

I find it interesting how the writers depict the depth of the hate that runs between Cloud and Sephiroth. It's like no matter what place they end up, no matter what shape or form they're in they will continue to hate each other and continue to fight 'til the end of time. Now to think of it, that's actually a very commen motif, universal rivalry between warring individuals. Like the motif of warring brothers or somethin'.
I agree with SMK626, the advent children remix of this song was awesome. Altho I don't have the game, I observed when my friend tried to beat Sephiroth. He tried about 20 times and still kept losing. It wasn't until he was lvl. 80+ that he finally beat him. It was pretty funny watching him get frustrated and then finally beat him. He kept on getting pissed about the meteor thing.
This song strangely enough calms me. I have tried to beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2 and died in I think bout 4 hits. I guess being at level 59 doesn't help.
