  • Did you say "inakappe dane" to him?!?!? I am surprised he did not shoryuken right through your guy!

  • Think he does very well, such a different structure to western languages

  • Next time, if there will be....just talk other stuff..besides game 24/7.... i'm sure he would be just as much happy to talk about food, drinks, girls....you know..

  • Jesus, leave the man alone, maybe he doesn't want to talk about stupid video games all the damn time. You all say, oh he acts like a robot, well if you treat him like a robot then he's gonna act like a robot! I've never seen anyone ask him how he's feeling or anything non video game related. You people suck.

  • WOW! You know the beast!

You just get better and better man!

  • Man, u gotta learn Japanese little bit more..if u wanna get money as translator..

"Inakappe dane? = u fuckin' country boy huh? " to him sounds like

    = nigxer to black ppl

= red neck to white ppl

    = bexner to mexican ppl

I wish u ve already learned. Hang in there.

  • @caliento012 Thanks for the feedback =^_^=

  • @laoshu505000 nailing good asian dialect/accent is challenging. i'm korean and speak korean and english, but mostly english. i took 3 chinese courses in college and as an english speaker, the sounds are kind of tough.

  • @caliento012 i've never met a mexican that finds a offence to beaner. Why censor it? I'm offended because you didn't censor red neck. lol

  • @jfachris thanks for ur response.

I've also never met a mexican never cared about being called be"x"ner, especially in jail.

    Haha, Jaja, LoL, (^ w ^)

Payin respect keep u safe n make everyone comfortable. that's what I said.

Languages n cultures r fun huh.

  • @caliento012 come to think of it.....i don't think i've ever met a mexican....they look interesting though!

  • @caliento012 In Japanese, it's really easy to say something incorrectly so it sounds like you're saying something else, where a completely harmless statement becomes insulting. I'm sure that Daigo was able to pick up that his Japanese was a little sloppy and he knew that, given the scenario and context of the conversation, that the camera man was not deliberately trying to insult Daigo. This video inspires me to learn Japanese. Keep at it Mr. camera man :)

  • Aomori is CAP vs SNK2 stage

  • About the SBO Tournament: Daigo said that it's different from the American tournaments because of the "1 game elimination" format. So it's hard to predict who would win. (not that he doesn't know anyone)

About his preference of the American format: Daigo said in the "1 game elimination" format, your fate is decided in that one game, regardless of all the time you spend practicing. Battles like that are decided by 'luck/fate', (rather than skill), unlike the ones in the American format.

  • @xRoughRidersx I'm sorry master. I will try and do a better job next time

  • i bet Daigo can understand a little bit English.

but he always act like he don't understand

  • lol how could u call him Daigaku san XD

  • DAMN, japanese farm people have computers?, even their farms have technology

  • @AznAndy562 hahaha! I guess so.

  • @AznAndy562 lol that's awesome.

  • what he tought about the match. "no enough hadokens"

  • dude, awhile ago i saw a video of this black dude speaking vietnamese and all sorts of languages, and i saw this video awhile ago after searching up daigo, and i just realized that that person and you were the same person from the same account lol

  • he's really likable.

  • daigo looked so akward

  • @joaosimpson99 around blacks never relax

  • @SaoLinKA7X and around ur mom n ur sister ?

  • 大学さん hahahahhaha

  • @ Laosho

Thanks man! SharedTalk is awesome, i've already used it like a dozen times. I too am learning japanese via Rosetta Stone. How did you learn so fluently?

  • 5:26 do not disturb the beast as he thinks.

  • just as i thought. hes just a cool guy underneath that celebrity sf status

  • @laoshu

You mentioned that you utilized a chat room to help you learn dialect. Which chat room was this?

  • @booni3VISION You can use any chatroom where you can meet Japanese people or any other ethnicities. There's a good one called ''Sharedtalk'' and another called ''Livemocha'' I used yahoo chat back in the day, but now it's not as good due to all of the spam/bots.

  • 2:00 As soon as they stepped out, i bet you anything in the world, they were scared as hell, Daigo looked so gangster, specially between them bosses.

  • pause at 1:53

THE BEAST IS NOT AMUSED. lol or that could be his normal face.

  • グローバル語だとばかりに外人が英語でおしてくるということがないのが、

    よほど尊敬されているという証だと思った

  • Wow, it seems like you've got a great grasp on the language.

    発音がちょっと面白いけど、うまいですよ

  • 一生懸命日本語話そうとしてるのが良いですね。俺も英会話勉強しよう。

  • Im interested in learning Japanese as well. Whats the best way to study the language?

  • @Mm0rgan-If you're planning to learn Japanese yourself, I'm thinking buy some Japanese books like Japanese for busy people as an example.

  • @beybladestar Anyone use something like the rosetta stone software? My wife and i are intrested in learning Nihongo but dont want it to take FOREVER

  • @Mm0rgan-I never use any Japanese software, so I don't know. When I first learn Japanese, I went to Japan & learn it. I'm still studying it.

  • @Mm0rgan-It's difficult to explain since I never use any software to learn Japanese. But I think Rosetta Stone is a good software to learn Japanese.

  • あなたの日本語は上手ですよ。今、日本語の勉強をしっています。

I'm just wondering, how long have you been learning Japanese for? It was funny that you called Daigo, '大学さん'. I understand that you said it by mistake.

But you spoke it very well.

  • @beybladestar I've actively studied Japanese for about 4 years. I still study, but it's not as rigorous as it was before

  • @laoshu505000-I've studied Japanese for 4 years as well and still studying. When you spoke Japanese to Daigo, was it nerve wacking?

  • @beybladestar Yea, it was lol, plus he speaks very fast!

  • @laoshu505000-Was he? Can you understand what's Daigo saying? I'm still studying Japanese, but still need practice.

  • @beybladestar I can understand him, but not when he speaks fast. My listening skills aren't up to par due to a lack of listening. If you are just starting on Japanese, make sure you get as much listening as possible.

  • @laoshu505000-Oh yes, definitely. My listening skills are not good also, but I'm still practicing and I want to practice translation from Japanese to English.

  • ダイゴ様www

  • How long did it take you to learn Japanese? Can you read & write it yet? I'm going to Japan to learn soon.. just wondering.

  • Thank you for this, we don't often see this kind of videos !

  • Daigo is actually human?? look at him smile

  • Did you call him Mr. University (Daigaku) instead of Daigo? LOL. And props for being multilingual. I am as well and many people can't even speak their own language properly.

  • @ushiwakamaru30 haha! Yea, I did by mistake. I was so nervous talking this guy it wasn't funny..lol

  • @ushiwakamaru30 I think he was trying to say Daigo-Kun (kun is added after names to show closeness between friends) except his heavy accent made it sound like Daigaku(university) lol.

  • @identikal yeah I speak Japanese, and that was a joke because it really did sound like he said Daigaku. My pronunciation is flawless (I sound Japanese) but my vocab is still far from decent. Got years of practice and dictionary-cracking ahead of me.

  • omg i'm learing japanese :D you did good dude

  • @trigun52 yes you are correct...but wait, how many times has Justin competed against Daigo?...ok,now tell me how many times he has beaten him...now after you finish your research kindly shut your mouth and give this great player some respect for his show of class and dominance in Street Fighter. Hey Daigo Watashi wa anata no tame ni nani mo keii o motte ite, yori yoi mainichi gozen shutoku i wa hanbun senshu ni naru koto negatte imasu

  • @GlobalSaturation1117 english you smug fuck...no one cept 3 people can truly interpret what you said

  • @JamesMcCloud because i wasn't talkin to you, asshole. that was more about me learning japanese and progressing in my studies so i can someday go to Japan and not be another ignorant tourist. i want to really experience the culture. you should lighten up.

  • @GlobalSaturation1117 Straight up, my apologies. I was making a joke that came off wrong. I always joke that people love to write in another language on an english board and i poke at it being 'show-offish'. no means to offend.

  • lol is the cameraman a fucking giant? the camera seems to be about 2 feet over everyones heads

  • @2fnez the camera man (moses) is extremely tall.

  • Fun video, but your friends seem very rude. They should be asking Daigo the questions like a real interview or something, not,"hey ask our prisoner _________."

    This isn't an interrogation here!

  • Man i love Japanese i wish i could get as far as you :) all i know is stupid french lol

  • The narrators Japanese isnt so good right. But keep up the good work.

  • JUSTIN WONG IS THE BEST, DAIGO CANT FUCKING WITH JUSTIN. JUSTIN SHITS ON DAIGO DAILY. JUSTIN SAYS JUMP, DAIGO SAYS "hau hai" translation, how high!! PWNED. JUSTIN FTW!!

  • @trigun52 lmao, fanboy. Go 'bate to Justin if you want, it's not welcome here.

  • @trigun52

Obviously all lies, who won Evo 2010? Who didn't even get in the top 5? Oh ya, that's right not justin. Justin does just fine when Daigo isn't running game.

SHAME ON A NIGGA WHO TRIED TO RUN GAME ON A NIGGA, GOT BUCKWILD WITH THE JOYSTICKTRIGGA.

  • @WW3seeker Hahaha..probably ude. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @WW3seeker his face actually said - wow someone who is learning our language? cool.

  • Daigoate.

  • Does Daigo ever play at SBO? Has he ever won there?

  • @MKShaggy1985 He's said that he played there before, but I'm not sure if he's ever one one.

  • he kinda looks like daigo...

  • Comment removed

  • Man you gotta get rid of that american accent in ur otherwise good japanese the japanese allways make fun of that accent in their anime and stuff lol, otherwise nice interview.

  • @ShiroKreuz He, I aint worried them animes. The most ironic thing about it is, the people who make those animes, making fun of people who have accents can barely speak a language they've been learning for 10+ years. On top of that, don't have the coursge to try and learn more than 2-3 languages.

  • Oh no thats not what i meant, You're not supposed to be worried ur excellent man and you have a solid point. I meant that its a pretty hilarious accent so its used in alot of japanese shows intentionally to make fun of americans but anyways ur japanese is otherwise rly good u make me wish i knew how to make good sentences like you can, im only good with pronounciation i cant make sentences to save my life...

  • @laoshu505000 i feeel you man!

  • Homie is a midget....but hes still the awesomest

  • Damn Daigo learn English already, your the Ken Hoang of street fighter.

  • Wow! Daigo has really sweet personality !!

  • Thanks for the interview and putting it up.

Türkçe konuşabildiğini görünce çok şaşırdım ve sevindim kardeşim. Kendine iyi bak. Video ve tercüme için teşekkürler.

  • @misugijun Bir şey değil kardeşim. Bu arada, sende kendine iyi bak.

  • lmao, laoshu got so excited after he heard that he knew how to speak Touhoku dialect XD

  • Man, Daigo is so awesome.

  • How tall is daigo really? he look 5'5" or little more than that...

  • While there was an abundance of 'eto' in this video, I can guarantee that a person who can speak to someone in their native language is going to sound better than someone who can't, regardless of the amount of 'umm.'

  • daigo...no goatee please... :(

  • @YukiS

    Agreed.

  • omg he said sagat around :45 he not translating right :O no im jk i have selective hearing not really but ok.

  • Good job but needs captions. Not stupid Youtube delayed overlays.

  • again, there is nothing wrong with saying "um"

  • Ching Chong Hong Bong Rong Dong Mong Tong Gong

  • @ClickForOutkast Heh. Thanks for commenting here. Where are you from by the way?

  • @laoshu505000 Well I live in germany but I come from Turkey.

  • @ClickForOutkast Gerçekten mi...bu yüzden Türkçeyi konuşebiliyormusunuz arkadeş

  • @laoshu505000 Ben almanyada dogudum üzeri türkcem fazla iyi degil.

Why do you know so many languages?

  • @ClickForOutkast Çünkü dilleri öğrenmek çok güzel bir şey düşünüyorum kardeşim.

  • @laoshu505000 Haklisin kardes

  • @laoshu505000 man thats really impressive didnt know you could speak turkish too :) Kendine iyi bak :D

  • @ClickForOutkast I hate ignorant sons of bitches. like clickforoutkast for example......

  • Rare footage of Daigo actually in Ohio.

  • @cornunderscore2x THATS REAL RARE FOOTAGE!!!!!!!!!!

  • By the way, I don't mean to insult your Japanese, 'cause you're making a good effort and being put on the spot, but at 3:45, Daigo says that the Japanese tournament in question is different from American tournaments because one loss and you're out of the tournament, so it's impossible to predict who will win. It makes for interesting tournament, but you know sort of thing.

  • @HartleySan Thanks bra

  • ウメちゃんは私の出身に行ったのか!?すげー!なんでそこに行った?

  • @HartleySan んだ。。。彼がここ木来た理由はね。。大きい大会で来る事にしたんだっぺ。

  • Thick American accent, but you're quick and clearly know your stuff!

  • You got to meet Daigo that's awesome i'm thinking of learning Japanese myself. Good vids

  • Daigo half black???... Didn't know.

  • You really have to stop saying "eto" just as you should stop saying "um" in English.

  • @pyeclam Heh, thanks for the advice and commenting.

  • @pyeclam There is nothing wrong with saying "um" in English, why would you think that?

  • @chargeNkill Except that there is? Go in any professional setting and see what they tell you about "um." It makes you seem inarticulate, and consequently, more stupid. In an informal setting, it does not matter. But if it can be worked on, why not? Especially if you're learning a language, why would you give yourself crutches rather than go further?

  • @pyeclam Just to let you know, I'm not a professional translator. I'm actually not even good enough to be a professional translator. I just helped Daigo out with some things since no one else was around. Thanks for commentin here.

  • @laoshu505000 Sure, but I am not criticizing you so much as I am responding to chargeNkill.

  • @pyeclam Not that big of dad eal. You're just picky. It happens all the time and comes from many professionals. I've seen it from news reporters, scientists, government officials and top executives. It doesn't come from everyone, but I've heard it from many people when speaking without a prompt. It's common and it's easily overlooked, of course you're not supposed to say it but nobody really thinks less of you if you do, as long as what you're saying makes sense.

  • @XSilvenX Except that they do. I guess you're not used to a professional setting. If you're a giving a presentation and constantly saying "um," it certainly affects the way people see you. Take a speech class, and then tell them why you think "um" is perfectly acceptable.

  • @XSilvenX LMAO funny I find you here.

  • @5iveR Heh, a lot of people are into Street. Fighter. So it doesn't surprise me actually. ^_~

  • Your American accent seems really thick, but I don't think that's necessarily bad. I'm learning Japanese, only a year in, so I was only able to pick up parts of what was being said.

Can't wait until I get to the level you're at. I'm always jealous of skilled multilingual people like you. D:

  • いいね!

I can see how this guy is trying to entertain Daigo with jokes and Daigo looks enjoying it. Japanese is such a difficult language that if i were not a Japanese, I'd never think to learn it. so I really admire those who are learning it. keep on learning!

  • Daigo is human?!?! ? :O *shoots self*

PS: i like your Japanese man.. keep learning more languages.

  • your japanese is very good! i envy you and respect you ^^

  • Dude you got my respect. Who said learning a language is easy? You did very well and I support you on studying this wonderful language, peace.

  • @pepitofromnyc Takes a lot of hard work. Thanks for commenting.

  • Looks like Daigo was packing light there :P He probably only brings his stick everywhere. :P

  • Work on that accent

  • @KungFoo1 I'll try. Thanks for commenting

  • @xDragoNx94 I see

  • Your Japanese is hilarious

  • @PabSwan haha

  • daiGOKU lol

  • People are retarded... learning a different language is hard ya know? anyways thanks for the upload was interesting

  • daigo looks so cool lol

  • i want daigos babies xD

  • you just learned japanese from chats!? i want to learn too

  • @sniperclown

He probably just Practiced in chat rooms, you cannot learn japanese exlusively from chatting, unless the other person is willing to sit there with you on hours on end explaining each alphabet and word in romanji, then speaking with you aswell, its best to teach yourself or take a class at a community college.

  • too much eto!!
