@jflynn7894 you're a fucking 600 pound boston cunt who needs to get over 1 loss. a loss to a much better team. the canucks are even better then us, and we're good. GO RED WINGS!!
@swizzlestiks Of course it could have. The knee isn't attached to the hip. If it has nothing to land on, it's not going to magically stop in its tracks. It's called momentum.
The "double standard" argument didn't appear until after the Marchand hit. Ballard/Hamhuis deliver clean hipchecks. The Raymond clip in game 5 wasn't clean. I'm pretty sure that was a little revenge for the shot in game 4 (explanation, not excuse).
@pissed7off If the hip was the point of impact, McGinn's knee never would have bent in like it did at a funny angle at the moment the hit was delivered. This is the same hit as Marchand's. The 5-game suspension on Marchand is a good call, but there seems to be a double standard with what Canuck fans think is okay and not okay. They applauded when their player delivered the hit, crucify when it happens against.
@CBRINDAMOUR Seriously. Mcginn never picked up the puck. Marchand was at least protecting himself. What can we learn here though? I guess the Canucks can never do anything wrong.
@CBRINDAMOUR@juniorwildcats No. Absolute Bullshit. Salo delivered a CLEAN bodycheck to Marchand 16 seconds prior. There was no legitimate reason to suspect that Salo was going to run Marchand. Salo did not approach Marchand in an overly aggressive manner, but an appropriate manner. If you still don't understand, check the NHL.com video explaining the suspension
If you guys weren't blind, you can clearly see in the video replay that the point of contact on McGinn was the hip. A good hip check.

And Marchand gets 5 games?? All because sallo is a bitch and reacts like a 2 year old. Canucks are a bunch of panzies.

@ThaAngelus1 No. The slow motion replay clearly shows that the point of impact was the hip.
