  • That is a beautiful job. I am very impressed that you did this and made a very informative vid too! Congrats on a great job and a GREAT GRADE! - D

  • Why would you waist your time on that...

When you could be playing Xbox??

  • how long did it take you? please reply!! mine is due in 2 days

  • You can DO THIS IS TWO DAYS. Just get the shortest set of lights you can find & DO NOT CUT THEM. Just decorate the base with the extras so then you do not have to mess with the resistor pack. You do not have to twist the rods as much as I did. You can make the sugar molecules with anything even lollipops or marshmallows. You can use twist ties or rubber bands to hold the light pairs together & then you won't need the vinyl tubing. Do a nice display & explain your work - you'll do fine! - D

  • Dna isnt twisted like that... this is very retarded

  • very good job..

  • What did you use?

  • I used two steel rods from Home Depot. I am not sure what they are for but around 3 feet when not bent. I used a large soup can and kind of kept bending around and up to form the helix. Any Christmas lights will work but remember to use a very short set. If you cut them you will have to make a large resistor to use them. The base is a wood drawer front and I used sticks and light molding compound painted for the ends. Flower arrangers tape wraps it all with clear plastic tube to cover lights.

  • Bet You A'ed It ;] Good Job, I Have To Do One. Its Gona Be Hard. Thanks For The Clip Tho ;]

  • Some craft shops sell kits which may make it a bit easier. If you use my method, you will need two steel rods and kind of bend them around a peanut butter jar or large can to get the helix.

If you use lights, try to get a short string using batteries rather than the AC lights I used. It was a pain to balance the resistance to run AC lights on a short cord. Have fun and be creative. Good Luck - D
