I've loved everything he has done since The Hurting! Memories Fade so speaks to the angst of my childhood...so in a way, I guess I've grown up with Roland and while he writes his messages...he speaks for me, too. Well done Roland! Just an awesome and talented artist.
Tomcats Screaming Outside was one of the most overlooked albums of the noughties. I personally think it is best work from Roland since the days of The Hurting and yet there is such an independent non-TFF feel to it! Only a special artist can pull off something so convincingly well like this.
Totally agree with you. Came across this album only recently because it was not released in Brazil. I wish it had and I bet it would've been a big big success!! Why do you think it was overlooked this way? It's just GREAT! Each and every song is wonderful. Also agree that it's been one of Roland's best work.
Oh, and if I could get out of my head I would probably be posting something on Brittney Spears instead of Tears For Fears. But that's not likely anytime soon.

Truth is always the thing... Spellbinding. When you finally capture it, if only for yourself, it feels so right. Sharing it is brave. Celebrating it? Crazy. And wonderful as well.
I'm totally obsessed w/Roland....he's incredibly talented, sweet on the eyes and I'm currently reading The Primal Scream for my own personal reasons...I want to sit down w/Roland over coffee and have a good old fashioned chat.
You're so right. He was talanted back then at a tender age but wow he's really a musical genius. I want to get inside that head of his & analyze everything! I love that he makes his music not so easy to just understand.
