Cartoons back then kicked serious ass. nowadays there regulated to be toned down for you little guys. i can remember comming home from school and putting homework off till after cartoons were over like this show, ninja turtles etc. shoot i used to watch shows like this early in the morning before school and all day on saturday. they dont play cartoons like that anymore.

That's because it *is* Freddy from Scooby Doo. The voice actor is Frank Weller. And the voice actor for Venkman should be familiar too! It's Lorenzo Music (the guy that played Garfield!). Egon is also The Brain (as in Pinky and the Brain) and Winston is Arsenio Hall.

With regards to the colour palette and hair styles in the cartoon, think about it from a toy sales and marketing perspective...it is brilliant design, as it adds to the appeal of the toys due to their being more unique and distinctive from one another. Although different from the movies, this cartoon series took on a life of its own, with its own style and identity while maintaining the overall charm and wit of the ghostbusters franchise.

I actually got my information off of the first volume of the show on DVD. And in the special features disc, they explained why they don't look like the movie cast. Because, since Aykroyd and Ramis DID NOT create the cartoon, the creators, mainly J. Michael Straczynski, could be sued for copyright issues in that capacity. All they were allowed to do was use the NAMES of the Ghostbusters, but not allowed to have them look like the movie characters. That's all I was trying to say, dude.

Actually. That is because in animation, color pallete is important and helps separate characters. Not only does it allow him to stand out from any other character who may have glasses, it also compliments the yellow of his hair.

Dan Aykroyd & Harold Ramis Wrote all 140 eps of the cartoon with assistance from others but no one else stayed on longer than 23 eps of the cartoon. While he did direct the show, JM only helped write 21.
