@braiden2010 - I'm not too concerned. I am controlling the gas and brakes and steering when needed. Out in the desert where they will be riding, there isn't anything to hit. There is a screw that allows you to limit the speed as well as a remote "Kill' switch like a car remote, that kills the motor. They will have it running a whopping 4mph when they ride it solo (or with me sitting shotgun), and that probably wont be for another year or so.
@dirtycommtroopUSAF - If you mean, can an adult ride in the thing with his kids, the answer is yes. I am 6 foot, 170 and I fit. With me in it, I think it can do about 25-30 mph. I haven't thrown my GPS on it to check the speed. I don't mind riding around the neighborhood, but I wouldn't take it out the desert to go ride. My 12 year old (100lbs) is getting too big for it, but still really enjoys riding it. I think the ideal age is someone 50-80lbs. It takes some muscles to turn the wheels.
@horrortown1000 - Its a Chinese clone of the RZR170. Its 1/2 the price and comes with a ton more features. Real headlights, turn signals, tail lights, overhead lights, big bed, remote disable switch/ alarm, windshielf, paint, roof, nets, etc. You can get one at supersportz . com
@SPZMotorSports - Tom, When the Avenger was delivered, you must have had the roof on your trailer, cuz it was ripped up to shreds as you can see in the video. Also, the side nets don't fit correctly as the snaps don't fit. Can you get replacements from the manufacturer? Please let me know. Other than that, the kids love the thing. Took it out to the desert and my 12 year old was ripping around for over 4 hours straight in the dark around camp.
You are dad of the year.
