  • Seems they have an odd view of "deregulation". Proposing and passing new laws to provide obfuscation to auditors and new ways of dabbling in predatory lending is hardly "deregulation". It is "REGULATION", pure and simple. Now, the manner in which the "REGULATION" takes its course is another topic all together. This misconception often lies at the heart of the argument between free market thinkers and those in favor of government intervention.

  • There was an artical about dereg featuring Greenspan &co.; on the front page of Time magazine,a few years before the crash. Time showed bankers with scissors cutting through red tape. The Reagan admin was involved in this kind of shenanigans too; furthermore using symantics as your basis of argument is typical of your kind. You do understand the concept of history, & I hope that it pisses you of when I tell you that some leftists were on their guard after 8 yrs of Repub bastards & prevailed.
