Good to see preservation of culture by seeing the art in the wall, but maybe candle was not necessary. Its westernized. I would have loved to see a sukunda.
Thanks for your comment. Kids these days get to celebrate two birthdays every year. One on their actual birthday as per the lunar calendar (Tithi), which we celebrate in our family with traditional ceremonies, complete with Sukunda, and one more on a convenient date (like the one in this video) where friends and relatives are invited to a western style "cake cutting" birthday bash.
