  • Thank, mohamed

  • and why your voice in the song is so weak that the words are not clear to hear?make your voice a little bit higher than that.also, the background of the music is a techno!please be original, and don't use new techno music..take us to the old Egypt and don't take us to Hollywood! Thanks

  • also,it seems that you do not know the diffirence between the hyroglyphic and the hyratic!the hyroglyphic was used only to write the holy scripts but as i see, this song is not a holy song!it's a public song,so,it should be a hyratic song, not hyroglyphic as you wrote here!

  • mr.mohamed maged, first of all, thanks for reliving the old egyptian civilization but i have some questions for you: how do you know the rythem of the old egyptian music?it's easy to know the equipments of the music like the harpe, etc, but it's difficult to know the rythem..so,how did you know that?

  • @rahotep101 Please please remove it,

  • My heArt is happy because of the music

  • Hieroglyphic written on Arabic script

  • Hieroglyphic a

  • how did you learn the ancient egyptians language ? is it even possible ?

are you sure this isn't coptic language ?

  • Can someone give me the letter of this beautifull song? I love hieroglyphics.

  • Muhammad why u dont sing in Coptic?!! couse in the hieroglyphs there's no vowels letters so the pronunciation maybe incorrect but in coptic language u can read the egyptian language with correct way u understand?

  • this reminds me of the native american indians, some are saying they are the lost tribe out of egypt.

  • i really can feel the love can i down load this mohammed mager?

  • this caused my heart to fall to the nile

  • is just like persian song iran

  • It's meeee!! Very soulful music! I know this famous guy!!! :)

  • the tranlsation in the part where it refers to christmas should be replaced with this translation:

"Look, she is like a star goddess arising

    at the beginning of a happy new year;

    brilliantly white, bright skinned; "

  • i almost cried when i heard this for the first time, its as if im speaking to the ancients. What beautiful language, and beautiful is humanity.

  • Is there any place where I can get lyrics to this beautiful song? I might even learn them.

  • so... from what i can tell... the top line is the egyptian, the middle is arabic, and then the bottem the translation right? i wanna try and learn to sing it... its nice...

  • @MrMusicalLinguist Yeah, seems so: first line Middle Egyptian in Arabic letters (how weird!), second line Arabic translation, third line English translation. I miss the hieroglyphs, though! =)

  • @Vortarulo yeah< hieroglyphs would be nice< but arabic works ^^

  • Based on 3000 year old text? Really? With the word Christmas in the lyrics? Christmas didn't even exist till the 4th century AD and was strictly a Roman pagan tradition replete with human sacrafice, nakedness, drunkenness, and rape by the Romans even practiced as late as the 19th century. Chistmas as we know it today is a very late invention between the 19th & 20th centuries.

  • @vutube379 nice that you use your OWN mind...

  • I really love it. I lived in Egypt for four years and loved every minute of it. I saw all the ancient sites and always felt that if I turned the right corner, I would find the ancient ones.Mr. Magid, you do great honor to your country singing in the old language. You also have a beautiful voice.

  • Thanks a lot brujaderio

  • @brujaderio Very beautiful! But wasn't this song written long before the birth of Christ, and therefore "christmas" would not exist?

  • @nicodagger You are right..but he also mentions feast..possibly one of the Muslim eids. It is music so it doesn't really matter that much. If I were looking for historical accuracey, this song would not feel the spot. But the language and voice are beautiful.

  • @nicodagger the second line, in arabic, says that singing in new years not christmas. i think that it was just a translation error to english hahah.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH, THIS IS BEAUUUUTIFULL! THANK YOU !

  • why isnt this the official language of Egypt? it was the original wasnt it? ...............and Italy should speak Latin! and Scotland speak Gaelic!

  • @acerb45666555 Many of the words are still spoken today, that's what is called, Egyptian Arabic, the coptic language which is the last picture of the language spoken by our abcestors are still spoken too.

  • جامده جدا .. ياريت اغاني زي دي كتير

  • @SuperLion911

تسلم يا أصيل يا ابن الكويت بلد الأصاله والكرم :)

  • @SuperLion911 what do u mean by that

  • like it ... 5 stars bro

  • actually we can translate the words to many languages but we can never know how does it sound !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes it's a bit like that but some vowels are clearly represented such as the feather which is vowel only it's unclear if it was an a or i.

  • The word svelte is a modern word and I don't think they had the same obsession with body images in eygptian times.

Puzzled, I've read ancient texts before and the language doesn't seem right or the interpretations are wrong

  • I have translated word for word what seemed most right...

  • It's beautiful, but fake, isn't? my strong impression this melody is recent.

  • The lyrics are real, don't know about the melody though. How would the ancient egyptians write a melody?

  • I think it was written in modern times with the real ancient language.
