Our founders knew that a citizen with moral and religious beliefs made for a better society. Congress printed the first Bible in English here, for use in the schools.
Most people have been brainwashed by the revisionists TO BELIEVE that the government has no right to promote any religious or moral ideas. However, this unique government endorsed Christianity, but did not compel it. They did not recommend or force any particular denomination or the tenants thereof.
The state has no right to endorse, promote or impose any one religious belief over another. Religious faith is a private matter, not a public one. The state must remain secular in order to protect everyones right of choice in matters of faith.
A theocracy is one of the worse forms of tyranny. The US bill of rights in protecting freedom of religion is our protection against theocracy; it's also in complete opposition to the first commandment--"Thou shalt not have any other gods before me".
@SpcMedia21 Of course it's okay to teach evolution because it is a science which means it's subject to the rigors of scientific methodology--investigative research, study, testing, repeatability and peer review.
Even most Christians now accept evolution (except biblical literalists). incl. Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian and many other churches. In most high schools students have choices of different among the different sciences and can choose not to study evolution if they choose.
{it's okay to teach evolution because it is a science which means it's subject to the rigors of scientific methodology}
It should be decided that persons whom are experts in discerning between true evidence & that which merely appears to be evidence, such as district attorneys, should instruct evolutionists in such matters. Then you'd recognize the truth about evolution & that would resolve the entire origins dilemma
All agree that the universe is headed towards "heat death"
due to Entropy. In short, Entropy is causing the universe & everything in it to degenerate towards greater disorder. Thus, there could have never existed a time during which Cosmological Evolution would have occurred. Also, Abiogenesis is dependent upon the occurrence of Cosmo Evo. Thus, Abio didn't occur & Biological Evo is dependent upon Abio. Thus, its never occurred either
Just like that, Theory of Evolution is dead
Entropy is the consummate killer. It even kills things that don't live
@Chuichupachichi Remember the Kitzmiller vs. Dover trial? Creationists received a sound thrashing as their bid to pass off mystical speculation as science in public schools was crushed for good. The debate is over and creationism will not be taught in public schools. Your side failed and lost.
There's no science called "Cosmological Evolution". Stop pretending you know what you are talking about and leave science to the men and women who study it honestly and without preconceptions.
I certainly do remember the fraudulent farce that was commissioned by the same tyrannical rulers that determined that evolution should be peddled because intelligent populations are difficult to tyrannize. Right now, I'm going to prove that the trial was a farce. You go & find any information, whether it be in video, text or audio, that has been presented as science by the Intelligent Design Discovery Institute scientists, & bring back
@Chuichupachichi Don't waste your time revealing your transparently obvious bias, your perception of events is distorted by your preconceptions. The only "farce" was the crap spewing from Michael Behe's mouth. Even his own son was embarrassed. You are not convincing in the least and you couldn't prove your way out of a paper bag. If you want to be convincing, take a graduate course in evolutionary biology FIRST and stop pretending you know what you are talking about---you don't.
Well, you're long on talk but short on substantiation. Since you continue to speak with great confidence in the validity of your position, then my request should be of no difficulty for you. With great boldness do you merely assert that Intelligent Design is simply "crap spewed". Certainly, such an abrasive assuredness would easily find & present at least an inkling of religion, taken from amongst the abundance of theoretical theology made available by ID scientists
@Chuichupachichi I'm not required to disprove intelligent design, it's your side that has to prove it. But all we get are unwarranted speculations and fallacious assumptions. The abject failure of god theories masquerading as science was nicely demonstrated by the outcome at Dover vs Kitzmiller.
The case for speciation through mutation and natural selection is well understood and demonstrated by those who study the science. So your opinions on the matter cannot be taken seriously.
I didn't ask you to disprove ID. Your comprehension skills are poor. You agree with the Dover claim of that ID is not science, but religion. I asked you to prove that by finding & presenting at least 1 crumb of religion that you might find within ID scientist's work that they've presented as science. Its easy to simply make such claims but its an entirely different matter to actually back them up with evidence
You're the one that brought up Dover. Its your side that claims ID is pure religion. You're the one that continues to fail to present evidence that supports such a claim. All you've done is avoid this matter, while continuing to add to your number of mere assertions that lack supportive explanations or evidence
Like I said... you're long on talk but short on substantiation
C'mon, what's the matter? At least reply with a report of what your research has, or hasn't, yielded. You wouldn't want the readers of this thread to reasonably conclude that you're reluctant to address the matter, due to the truth being in conflict with your "deeply rooted evolutionary beliefs"... would you?
Simply the fact that you've already failed to address this most relevant matter, is nothing less than you letting this cat out of the paper bag. You also failed to explain Cosmological Evo
@Chuichupachichi There is no "cosmological evolution"--yet you continue to mix the two sciences. It's a common mistake by the untutored that causes scientists to face palm.
If you disagree with cosmology or evolution you'd do well to debate them with actual scientists like Hawkings & Meyers. Just prepare to have your arrogance humbled.
Listening to you is like visiting Superman's bizzaro world of opposites where up is down, black is white and reality is the complete opposite of what you believe.
to this thread, even one little tidbit of religion that you may find. You won't bring anything back because you won't find any religion within their work. Thats how easy it is to prove that Dover was a conspiratorial sham because their claim was that ID is not science, but religion. However, the fact that you nor anyone else will ever be capable of finding anything that can correctly be called religion within ID science, proves that it must be science. Since it contains no religion, what else
can it be, but science? You said Creationism will not be taught in schools & that my side failed & lost. But its not difficult to reveal who "failed" to discern correctly & "lost" their chance at being intelligent. You cant think critically enough to discover how you've been suckered by brainwashing that says Creationists will produce stupid students, despite the well known fact of the huge academic difference that exists between secular public school students & Christian private school students
@Chuichupachichi Despite your intellectual dishonesty and posturing, the real reason you reject evolution is that it conflicts with your deeply rooted god beliefs. You would prefer to reject what science confirms rather than have it clash with a belief system you cling to with emotional vested interest. I dare say that if you had no belief in god you would very likely accept evolution. Fortunately your ignorance is not longer allowed to be taught in place of real science in public schools.
{There's no science called "Cosmological Evolution"}
You can say that again... because I never said there existed such a science. But I am saying that there exist many atheistic evolutionists with overactive imaginations who claim that after the "Big Bang", the randomly disordered matter eventually evolved into the highly ordered cosmological systems that exist today. Within the world of science, they call that fairy tale, "Cosmological Evolution"
Thus, when Presidents T. Jefferson & J. Madison in combination called for 16 consecutive years of weekly, Christian church service held within the House of Representatives or the Treasury Building or the chambers of the Supreme Court, they resolved the matter by rotating the preachers from each denomination on a weekly basis
Interestingly, when T. Jefferson & his Vice Pres. attended the first church service, the congregation noted where they sat & thereafter maintained those two seats vacant
reserved for the Pres. & Vice Pres. This means that T. Jefferson didn't sit with his family as a private citizen. But rather, he & his Vice Pres. attended church & sat side by side as officials of the US government
Ironically, Jefferson wrote "separation of church & state" & J. Madison wrote the US Constitution. Obviously, both "separation" & the 1st amendment have, today, been misinterpreted
Atheists perceive that "separation" accomplishes the enforcement of a fair middle ground of equality. However, that's ridiculous... the fact is that "separation", as its been applied, simply rams atheism down the throat of the entire public. Think about it, why do you think atheists are always happy with it being enforced?
The existence of so much documented religious reference from the founders, makes it ridiculous to believe that they intended for atheism to be rammed down the public's throat
David Barton is a lying POS...
