  • You don't drink soda?

  • @renewman28 no... mormons don't believe in partaking in caffeine, which they deem a addictive substance and therefore are discouraged from consuming, which is why they aren't supposed to drink sodas such as Pepsi, which carries caffeine.

  • @canthandlethebeast there are actually plenty of mormons that drink Pepsi and Coke and other sodas that have caffeine in them. It's just really high amounts of caffeine that we stay away from, like coffee and tea.

  • @stringcheese0902 its a joke. hes just making a point

  • My best friend is Mormon and so are A LOT of my friends and they are some of the biggest whores!!!!! Im Catholic and least when people call me a man whore i except it just saying mormons are the most controversial i know

  • @coyform Just like any religion, there are members of the LDS church who struggle with living the principles they profess to believe. It's sad to me that your experience with the Church has been so negative. Hopefully you can look past your friends' examples and see what the Church is really about. And, hopefully, your friends will gain a real testimony of the Gospel of Christ.

  • @coyform Im Mormon, and trust me, most arent like that, where you live its probably a place that theres kids trying to fit in, and unfortiounatly the mormons at your school were convinced that they wouldent be cool unless they started acting sluttish,

Its a shame, They are probably fabulouse people otherwise

  • MORMONS ROCK!!!!!!!!!

  • yuck

  • Meh. It ain't no "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" or "Follow the Prophet."

Those are two prime songs that are begging to be transmogrified into "Mormon Rap."

  • Check out shai linne, he is an amazing Christian rapper. Shai linne is on point, theologically. I pray to God that we come to a true understanding of God. That the Spirit illuminate our hearts to what He had revealed in the old and new testament; that He alone is God, and before Him or after, there is no other God. The bible warns of other gospels that will not save and of false prophets; that will come proclaiming things given to him by angels.

  • dood you have to look like a rapper and have swag...your just makin rymes and singing them in a song

  • lol every time i whatch this i crack up

  • Hilarious and entertaining!

  • I've hung out with Mormons for years. Pretty much my only friends were Mormons. Their families are usually nice and caring, but I don't even come close to agreeing with most of which they never find the time not to preach about.

Always shoving things on me like it's their responsibility and duty so I accept their agenda. Crazy ideas and absurd levels of hypocrisy. Failure to look at things in any point of view other than their own.

  • im not Mormon but haha..

  • hahaha. This is amazing. Love it

  • you are my hero!!!!!!!!!!!! this is amazing!

  • I'm sorry but this is really stupid. Self-deprecation was never cool. kthxbai

  • I just created a wikipedia stub for "Mormon Rap" and "The Walter and Hays band" because I couldn't find much information on either. If you know anything please edit these stubs.

  • its videos like this that make people think we are strange. Sorry everyone else. this dude is the epitome of "peculiar people".

  • um... I remember this song from my CHILDHOOD, and I've got teenagers!!

  • I remember they used to play this on Dr. Demento all the time. I haven't heard it in like 25 years! The first time I ever heard about lime jello.

  • Mormans aren't geeks they are great people to be around!!! and i would know cause my best friend is Morman!!! So get a life!!

  • haha. I like this

  • yeah campcook88, we are so not geeks and if you were a mormon you would understand how funny this is

  • I love this song. Haven't heard it in fourteen years (when I and my Teacher's Quorum performed it at a campout *grins*).

Five stars for the teddy bear and shunning Pepsi.

  • I love that we can laugh at ourselves =) This video was SPOT ON!! Date at the Dairy Queen =)

  • Mormons are such geeks.

  • @campcook88 we r not geeks!

  • this always makes me smile

  • love it and always will love it! <3 :)

  • Best. Song. Ever. Gotta love being Mormon =)

  • wow that makes being mormon sound kinda funny...... oh well you gotta live with peoples dumb questions..........

  • u r not a morman

  • Amazing that you were able to deduce that from...nothing.

    By the way, you're wrong.

  • what ward r u from

  • A ward in Virginia, but I was in Provo at the time the video was made.

  • @TheRealSkawaii Im in the morrisville ward over in P.a, Id ask if you'd been to any of the dances over in P.a but i dont think you have

  • @Thehabbofrenzies I actually lived in Carlisle, PA when I was 12, but only for 1 year. Never attended any dances though (I was still too young).

  • @TheRealSkawaii Do you remember what ward?

If you dont mind me asking

  • @Thehabbofrenzies I don't remember the name of it. It's whichever ward that the Army base falls in....

  • thats stupid rap

  • hahahah love it

  • this is so old, funny

  • Is there any way that I can get this track without the coices?

  • Terrifying.

  • I use to listen to this when I was a kid on vinyl. Dang I'm old.. This reminds me of being a kid so much

  • What?? When was this song made? It looks so new to me!

  • stupid.

  • Stupid, eh? It sold 95,694 copies worldwide. We were also approached by Atlantic Records. Intelligent people call that "marketing."

  • I purchased one of the cassettes shortly after it came out that year, and I still love listening to this song you made and performed

  • Well, at least you spelled the word 'stupid' correctly. I'll give you that...

  • Just in case my comment about spelling 'stupid' correctly gets in the wrong order, it was meant for jerrydoubleu. And I might add, that person wouldn't know the difference anyway.

  • nice...keep up the good work...!

  • I and my daughter knew the original band - Walter and Hayes - and have always enjoyed this! Thanks for posting it on YouTube so others can enjoy it, too!!!

  • oh dear i love this its so funny. we mormons r just that awesome!!! :)

  • Wow. Personally, I prefer Baby Got Book. But whatever floats your boat.

  • Thats the jam

  • I thought this was gonna be an anti-Mormon stuff when a friend sent me the link but it made me laugh. Go on a date at Dairy Queen to have some ice cream? Yes, that sounds LDS! The whole stuff is very accurate! Great video too!

  • AWESOME!!! this is my Jam!!!

    <3 Mormons rule <3

  • Is this just satire or is this guy actually serious? Sounds like an SNL skit

  • It's satire. Written and performed by a LDS band in the early 80's. We LDS do have a sense of humor about ourselves.

  • woah you mormons are soooo cool (rolling eye)

  • It's satire. Written and performed by a LDS band in the early 80's. We LDS do have a sense of humor about ourselves.

  • PhillipDaniel, you are so true.
