  • I got it in first three minutes. :)

  • could u please make a video for me that shows how to write jordan, and instead of showing a bit show u making the whole braclet, would mean alot

  • @TheJordanJansen143 Making a full bracelet would take about three hours minimum. I can't do that. With the tutorials and patterns on friendship-bracelets(dot)net you should be able to figure it out.

  • how much string would you say you need for a 9 letter baceletÉ

  • @AmazingWebster The base strings should be about 65 as standard for most bracelets.

  • Why do you sound so unhappy?

  • @gummiesRgood Not unhappy, chronically ill. I have an autoimmune disease and other issues so it makes me feel bad always.

  • @BeyondBracelets Aww..:( You Probably Don't Like This But Im Sorry! I Hope You Get Better Soon And Remember That Im Praying For You♥

  • Can u do multiple colored letters within one bracelet??

  • @TheLiquester Yes. Multicolor Alphabet bracelets.

  • awesum first vid i've seen that really explains it,tfs

  • i know you just have to turn the pattern sideways to make a horizontal letter, but could u plz do a tutorial on one letter horizontal, i dont want to screw it up. And how many letters can u fit on a bracelet if they're horzontail? my wirst is about 17cm in circumfrence, and i want to have at least three different bracelets with the words Hunger Games Catching Fire and Mockingjay each on a different bracelet. thank you so much!!!! i luv your tutorail and i subed!! =D

  • It`s easy ! First , i thought "wow, so hard " but since i`ve been watching your tutorial , i got it ! Thanks ! :)

  • @KittyeFroggy I'm glad it helped.

  • your amazing!! this tutorial is sooo helpful.. thanks a bunch!

  • @AndOJ93 Links are in the description for pre-made patterns.

  • @BeyondBracelets Yeah, thanks, I found out! x

  • How do u really make the backward knot? I'm making this kinda bracelet for the first time so i dont really know all these things. so how do u make the knot?

  • @yaishimeem Go to my channel and click the yellow 'Start here' button at the very top.

  • @BeyondBracelets but i cant even find the button

  • @yaishimeem If you're on a phone or something you won't. If you're on a computer it should be the first thing at the very top that you see. It's a big yellow button, not sure how you could miss it. o.0

  • I made one that says 'Lin' Yeaah Buddy :D #NYK

  • i just dont understand how to do the forward knot and the backward knot, you cant see you doing it so its kinda hard...

  • @xxrideforlifexxx Go to my page and click the yellow "Start here" on the banner/top of the page.

  • coool

  • Hey BeyondBracelets i think i want to try this. any string length recanebdations?

  • @ganstaboii2332 The recommended string lengths will always be in the video descriptions. Just click the "Show more" and I'll usually have them listed with the set up and all.

  • This is there best one :D

  • ok il try to post up a pic. of it

  • When I try to do the Backward knots they get slanted so i try to push them up and they don't go. So then my bracelet turns out weird.

  • @beyondbraclet ohh ok thanx ;) i tried it stil doenst work really... "/

  • @leahnyc25 Hm... check my video here:

    /watch?v=BUvOExhRaJk

Maybe that will help... not sure what the issue is without seeing it.

  • This is soooooooooo hard:(

  • @vicklyy Just need to practice. If you need extra beginner help check my channel and click the yellow "Start here" on the channel banner at the very top.

  • when i do this, my pink strigns tend to go slantd intread of straight...

  • @leahnyc25 Just push the row upward. They will slide.

  • I want to make one that says "christian beadles" . Is it to long to write?

  • @fridafrida11 I don't think so... you'd just need to start very close to the start of the bracelet for it to work. You may want to just make a double/stacked version by putting the "christian" above the "beadles" so it's wide and centered.

(Just stack the alpha grids on top of one another and then follow it.)

  • how to do you do j

  • @einaras101 Check the description for the pattern links.

  • @beyondbracelets thank you

  • I don't get it if the green is forward knots then when u do the pink y do u have to them backward knots not forward knots

  • @PokemonNoodles Because forward knots are only supposed to wrap around the string to the right.

If you make a forward knot on a string to the left of it then it will flip around and mess up the look of your knot.

Backward knots heads left. Forward knot heads right. It's just how it works.

  • hi could you do all the alphabets because i cannot do my name

  • @ulingwapo The grids are in the description. The method of tying is the same you just have to count out the boxes/knots of the pattern.

  • thank you " )

  • this was incredibly helpful, thank you :)

  • wow thanks soooo much!!! I was trying to draw an R for a text but I can't seem to.. the R needs to be 5 boxes high... PLEASE HELP!? :)

  • @WeWillDreamTomorrow Check friendship-bracelets(dot)net for their "Letter" patterns. Just type letter in the search bar in the upper right on the site and look for a similar text/size to what you need.

  • @BeyondBracelets thank you ;)

  • @BeyondBracelets is the green string attatch to the other pink stings or is it seperated??

  • @DulceRoberta13 You can attach it but for this video I did not attach the green one to the pinks. When you make these you will need to attach more than one string and the easiest way to do that is to just clip it down and start knotting with it like I started in the video.

  • Can you make on saying titan

  • Oh okay thank you!!!!!! :)

  • How do you do an A and a Y I can not figure it out with the grid. I can only do the two LL's in my name

  • @verabradly1562 There's links to premade patterns in the description.

  • so how long does it take to make the bracelet?

  • @Juliabennett23 Basic name alphas can take about 3 hours if you're doing a full 7 inch bracelet. Making a mutlicolor version might increase it another half hour to an hour. Most people will do short alphas with long ties to save time.

  • were do u get the string

  • @22melly24 Any art store.

  • Oh my god. Thank you SOOOO much!!!!!

  • Oh thank you so much! I'm from russia, but we have ONE video tutorial "How make a Bracelet With The name". And he is not helping me! But you! Oh thank you so much! <3333

  • thanks is my letter!!!!:-))))

  • How long do they have to be?

  • You are so freaking talented :)

  • i am a girl on my brother's computer

  • @gobie728 Cool.

I'm a girl on my own computer.

    =P

  • I don't know how to make A,B,C bracelet's.I think you are cool at making it thought it must of taken a lot of practice and time.

  • i wanted to know how much would it be if you made 2 bracelets for me (if you could they would be 7 letters both) please message me or comment back im really interested because i cant make these :p ThankYou!

  • @FknnJuliee I really don't do them anymore... these take hours and I can't with my carpal tunnel. That said... you may be able to check etsy for custom name bracelets. You may find someone who can do it for you there or maybe even friendship-bracelets(dot)net if you start a thread.

  • is there anyway you could make a bracelet with the nike swoosh in it?

  • @Fallon15Lee I don't do alphas on video. They take a very long time to make because the patterns consist of hundreds of little knots depending on the one you pick. Even something simple like a nike swoosh may take about 2 to 3 hours to film/make. Just check the videos on alphas and how to read them and you should be able to find a grid to follow on friendship-bracelets(dot)net.

  • what kind of string are u using is is yarn or embrodary floss

  • @BADGURL19991 Video description.

  • and is it possible to do the letters side-ways?

  • @Koley411 Just flip the grid.

Lengths were covered in the description.

  • how long should each string be?

  • @Koley411 Video description.

  • YOur stinking awesome!! I Used G as a C for my last name :3 Thanksss

  • Hi, I was wondering something. I've started on a candystripe bracelet which consists of 8 strings, is it possible to make a letter using the candystripe pattern with 8 strings??

  • @Firefreeze0916 Maybe.. but it wouldn't look straight like this since regular patterns slant and cause a 'zipper edge' on patterns... that and you'd probably need to substitute in the string you want to make your lettering with since using what is available would take up a ton of string as well as blend into the bracelet.

  • @BeyondBracelets Ahhh I see! Mkay well thank you for your reply!:))) I'm trying to make an A...for my name! Is it harder then the G or easier??

  • @Firefreeze0916 I'm not sure really... I guess the A might be harder since the knots are closer together.

  • thnx alot i will try it now and tell u

    :)

  • Im making bracelets to sell and donate money to the specail olympics and I'm almost done with the one I'm making that says "cal" because of your tutorials. They are so easy to follow (:

  • hey i have tried this like a zillion times. when i just start my letter and make the first background knot its totally fine but as soon as i start the letter my first knot forms right underneath the backfround knot but i still continue it and att he end when i make last background knot to complet the first row all of the knots that formed under the firrst background knot do come up but with extra thread loops but my friend can make it !!! plz help and plzz i need help asapp :) save meeeeeeeeeee

  • @pavwan1 Don't pull the base string so hard. Let the knotting string be in control and loosely hold the string it is knotting on to. If you pull the base string too hard the one you are trying to make the knot with will mess up.

  • This was so helpful. I wanted to learn how to do this so I could make one for my boyfriend. One of his friends commited suicide and he misses her so much, so I'm going to make him one with her name on it. I really appre iate your help! Thanks -3

  • @lovefursy That's nice of you... that's not an easy thing to go through so I'm sure he will appreciate it.

  • I wanted to make an alpha friendship bracelet for my boyfriend, and I'd never made any friendship bracelet before... I thought I'd be completely lost. But this helped SOOO much. It turned out GREAT! (: Thank you SO much! (:

  • @EmUhLee181 You're welcome... I'm surprised you were able to do it without ever making one before. Either you're very smart or I'm a damn good teacher... either way that is completely awesome. I'm glad my video helped. =3

  • This actually helped me! I'm kind of a beginner in this friendship bracelets thing, but I figured out how to do it. I was only able to watch the beginning of your video because the rest wouldn't load, so I opened the link for the name generator and prepared my yarn, etc.. I was really excited but then I got stuck at the downward arrow [I didn't notice you had the instructions up]. I didn't know what to do for a while, but thankfully I found the meaning for it on the generator website itself.

  • @ConfusionsDelusions Maybe I should make a video explaining it. Lots of people seem to be confused by it.. and when I had first started using their patterns I even questioned if it was the same thing... so maybe I'll do a quick video on it. If you could possibly send over the reference link where you found the tutorial that would be great. I'd like to include it in the description of the video.

  • OOOOMMMMGGGG!!!!!YuH sAy It So EaSy NoW i KnOw HoW tO dO iT.....=]iM sO hAPpy

  • I want to make a bracelet with " I ♥ YOU " for Valentine's Day, my boy it's going to love it ! Thanks for the videeeo, it's AWESOME!

  • @flavianeacsu Aw, that's sweet. I'm glad the video was able to help. Good luck!

  • I haven't looked at all of your tutorials but I'm going to ask, just in case, but can you make a tutorial on how to make a letter sideways? or is it basically the same method as this tutorial?

Also, thank you so much for posting these videos! I love them so much and their very easy to follow~

  • @iHopeUChoke94 It's the same, just flip the grid and count the boxes/follow the boxes. I typed out extended directions in the description bar.. and have about three other videos on this alpha stuff... people kept being confused so I kept trying to explain it in different ways... lol. I think I'm out of ways though so I hope you can figure it out because I think I may be tapped out. =x

  • Thank you sooooo much

  • ohmygosh! this tutorial made learning how to do this so easy! you actually made it seem simple, its just that theres a lot of strings. and thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • to get the string from the right to the left, do you use backward knots?

  • @catherine2531 Yes. From left to right is fk, then back to the left from the right is backward. It's a typewriter motion that goes back and forth.

  • Can u do k???

  • @TheSomerset10 The method is exactly the same as shown. Just follow a pattern (which can be found in the video description) and use the same back and forth method.

  • Any tips of how you make a short name in the middle of the bracelet? I don't want it like on the edge...

  • @LovisaFrojdlund Empty rows on top and bottom of the letters. You can do as many as you want but one or two is the most common.

  • That is cool I have made a bunch of braclet

  • It help out a lot thank you so much

  • i figured out how to do the letter R............

  • *sigh* I tried turning it the other way and I'm all confused now. I followed what you said, meaning, it's the same thing, just follow it like a grid, I just think I'm getting the knots wrong (forward/backward). Lol.

  • @HMitchell93 It's not different. Back and forth like a typewriter, opposite the row for the non-weaving string knots.

  • @BeyondBracelets I will keep trying :) I'm determined! Lol. You're right when you say in your videos that you really can't explain it anymore. I will keep watching haha.

  • @HMitchell93 I just realized it was you. I turn into a robot when I answer my comments and just did a double take when I read the comment again. =/ I guess this job is driving me nuts.

  • @BeyondBracelets Lol it's okay! You have a huge following on here. I almost said your name in a comment but I realized that maybe I shouldn't. Lol. I read your bulletins about being sick etc. I hope you're feeling better.

  • @HMitchell93 Nah, it's okay. I have my name (first only, of course) on my profile... but yes. I have so many people it's a bit crazy at times so I end up ignoring usernames and just replying without much thought. Way too many names to keep track of so I stopped even attempting it.. =x

Also... though I still can't quite hear out of my ear from swelling yet it is starting to feel a bit better, thank you. =3

  • @BeyondBracelets Lol that's true. And you're welcome! I had a bad ear infection in 6th grade, so I know how you feel. I was out of school for a week.

  • u c ur letters they r vertical am i correct that if i made mine horizontal i would have to use a whole load more of strings....

  • @bomb1471 Yes.

  • thank u sooo much i didnt kno how 2 do alpha pattenrs now i do!!!!!

  • can you try to make like a flower bracelet please my bff loves flowers

  • Wow, I get it! You're the only person on youtube who actually makes these clear! Thanks a lot! :D

  • how can you make it so that a knot the color of the letter is on the edge?

  • @microgracee Do an extra string on either side and just make the knots like you do for the lettering.

  • i like tutorial8 its sooo cool!

  • ikr ur awesome i learned alot frm most of ur videos

  • Can you make a "Kelly" bracelet? I tried, but I couldn't do it. Answer plz.

  • @hayoung2646 I do not make custom alphas. I'm pretty sure I've told you this already.

  • How u do the letters horizontal

  • how long should i make the string if i'm trying to make a 9 inch bracelet? he wants it 2 colors, so what length for each color?

  • @paigepop67 Bump it another 10 inches or so and then fold. (So about 75ish for the base) and then the weaving is added on as needed. More detailed description in the video and/or the video description.

  • @paigepop67 sup

  • what's the difference between a forward and backward knot? i'm a little confused.

  • @TheFrayFanFE Check my channel and click the yellow "START HERE" on the banner.

  • Ok thank you. I was at the craft store one day and I couldn't find it, i thought.i was weird!

  • Did u just make tht pattern

  • @122Yasmin Yes. I just drew out the boxes and then colored them in to make the letter.

  • U make it look so easy I know how to make knots but mine is always messy

  • Should you pull very tight(knots) for alpha bracelets?(:

  • @Bracelets1001 Not really. I don't pull tightly... You need to be fairly gentle otherwise your knots can sag or flip.

  • How do u do it with more than 2colors

  • Comment removed

  • does it still work if the strings are right beside each other ?

  • @clairebear2461 Not sure what you mean.

  • @BeyondBracelets o woops never mind i found out

  • THANK YOU I got a book for letters it was soooooooo confusing you make it so simple

  • @altosax156 You can actually refer to cross stitching patterns, too.

  • i used the g to make a c for the starting of my name

  • @BeyondBracelets What if I start to run out of string on a color can I somehow add more to it?

  • @machinegrl The same way you added the first string. Tie it to the side and just start using it.

  • I loveeeee your tutorials ! You're the only person on YouTube that I actually like

  • @itsbibibxtchxx Aw, thank you. =3

  • I have that thread but it is finer than that

  • @aletucu2011 Chances are it isn't finer... it just looks bigger on cam because it's so close.

  • Comment removed

  • sorry but I hope your answer thread used by

  • @aletucu2011 It was in the video description.

  • @Coolhhhghggshdhdsh theres a website that makes patterns and if you type ur name in, it automatically makes the pattern for you name friendship- bracelets. net (but no spaces i had to do that cuz it wouldnt let me comment a url

  • How much string should I use if I'm making a 7 lettered bracelet? Dx

  • @XxInspireMeX From the description>

    ■ LENGTHS- The strings should be about 35 inches for the base strings

(65 if you're folding the base strings in half) and the knotting thread should be as long as possible- Whatever length that you can work with without it being "too long" is fine because it is likely that you will need to add in more strings.

If you are nervous go to 70" but I doubt you'd need more than that.

  • @BeyondBracelets the string that is the background string. how long should that be... im asking because you said you can add in more strings. AND HOW DO YOU DO THAT WITHOUT MAKING THE BRACLET LOOK DUMB??

  • @RickysXplaylist I wrote lengths in the description.

As for attaching new ones... 0:27 look at how it's off to the side. You do that with new strings. It's no different.

  • @BeyondBracelets ok.. but the string that was going short its going to hang a little or show how would you hide it well??

  • @RickysXplaylist It hangs in the background and when you are finished you cut it off and glue the back where you snipped it so it doesn't come undone.

  • How do you add string? I knot mine but it looks messy :S

  • @hopefaithlov I make one knot to get it on and then a second "4" knot under it in the direction I was working.

  • Can u make a tutorial for the name amelia because that is my name so just call me that

  • @Coolhhhghggshdhdsh These tutorials take way too long to make. I don't do custom requests... you use the basics you've learned in the video and follow a pattern. The method doesn't change regardless of what name you need. Just find a pattern to follow and it will be the same.

  • Ok so your tutorials have helped me alot. I am already on my second bracelet thanks to your help.

  • NICE JOB!!! Can u spell Sam on there? I need to make one for my friend! I keep trying but I mess up..
