  • Albannach is NOT CLANN AN DRUMMA in any way shape or form. There is a new band as the Joe Kilna Mackenzie passed away. This is a false claim. will be reported

  • celtic music brings tears to my eyes!!

  • I think that this comes the closest to my favorite. Thanks Albannach!

  • Tooo Friggin Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • The lady is Jacquie. Kyle on the main drum, Aya and Jamsie on the right, Davey in the back next to Jacquie and on pipes....Colin. These are their old tartan - new ones are blue.

  • OMG, they are intense. I just found my new favorite group.

  • These guys are awesome!!!

  • are this orks? ;)

  • Also looking for where I can find this type of kilt or a pattern to make one!

  • i want one o they kilts

  • but why do the guys where skirts? just one hem down the middle is all they need for some pants. they kind of remind me of chumba wumba and stomp mixed together.

  • @sifudancrawford

It "wear" not where and its called a Kilt

  • @fftootall34 wear do you find those kind male skirts anyways?

  • @sifudancrawford SCOTLAND! If you are stateside, find a scottish shop for go to a festival. There is a shop in North Carolina by Grandfather Mountain.

  • @sifudancrawford

They wore this as it is really versatile. It is basically like a blanket, so it can be used to sleep in etc and can be worn with the end tucked in the waist like here or the end can be thrown over the shoulder (stylised by the traditional image of a kilted bandsman) or over your head like a hood. Google Féileadh Mòr if interested

  • Next best thing to techno viking.

  • They are so freakn awesome to see live. I cant wait to see them again. They sot rock. It's not the same song over and over. If you truely listen to them you know how talented and amazing they are.

  • I had the opportunity to see Albannach in Edinburgh on the Tartan Festival in 2008 and I tell you. these guys are AMAZING. You can feel the energy, the power they transmit to everybody and everything.

I bought the CD and from the first to the last track nothig is bad. The CD finish and you still waiting more and more. I hope they still in this excellent mood and making new records. May be I will be the first Spanish fan for this band

  • Sorry for the mistake, was in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008

  • hey celtics came from spain too, the austries

  • These guys are superb!

  • They are cool as hell. I have some of their CDs. They sometimes perform at the Highland Games in Glasgow, KY & they invite people on stage to play with them sometimes. I had my tambourine & was dragged onstage. It was probably drowned by the drums but I didn't care. I was happy as a lark. I had blisters on my hands after playing.

  • they came to the hoggtowne renisance faire today and i fell in love with them...i had never heard of them before and my friend got me to listen to them...it was awesome...i got to meet all of the members and i absolutely love their spirit that goes into thier music!

  • pretty good actually, a bit repetative, I personally prefer the Old Blind Dogs better, check them out. They are utter class.

  • It's like tribal trance in a way. It's more about the feeling than the actual structure of the music i think.

  • @Lehmann108 if u dont like them.....then dont listen to them!!

  • aye there good i was at the st andrews dance last night at the three sisters in edinburgh they were loud and great o and the lassie is braw

  • @scunnerd25 aye that she is!

  • I just found these guys tonight, and instant love! :D I need their albums!

  • i think they are the guys who play alot durin edinburgh festival: they are absolutely awesome

  • music to make your primevil heart thump!!

  • They were at the Ohio Ren Fair and they were amazing.

  • I saw them last night busking in the streets of Glasgow. I must admit to hear them struck a chord in my celtic soul. I almost had an image of the ancient celts here charging against the might of rome. They have that war band on the rise feeling.

  • I saw them at the ky renfaire and had a great time watching them play. It's just too bad that the crowds at these types of events are usually very tame. I'd like to go to an actual concert of theirs where people aren't afraid to dance. I could get pretty wild at a concert playing this type of music.

  • Fantastic! Just saw them here in Lafayette Hills, PA (U.S.) at an Irish pub.

  • I just saw these guys at the Maryland Renaissance Festival...AMAZING! I mean I have to admit they rock live, so if you have the chance, see them LIVE. That drummer is just too awesome.

  • WHY IS EVERYONE SITTING DOWN?!

My mother went to the highland games and got a CD... It's entrancing stuff in the recordings, but simply chilling live, even from videos like these.

  • you cant get their dynamic sound in the Cds. You NEED to see them in person or it's not as worth it.

  • I was there too.........it was AWESOME!!!

  • hey just saw them today at Highland Games Lincoln NH---Wow!!!

  • i did too! in nh at loon mountian! i loved them and bought one of thier cds!

  • GREAT performers, but the best thing about Albannach is how friendly they are! My daughter had her picture taken with all of the band about 10 times and they never complained or turned her away!

  • and another thing is JAYMCE ROCKS MY SOCKS!!! HES UBER SEXY!

  • i love clan an drumma they go to the fairy festival every year :]

  • i've seen them twice in amerca and hope they come back again!!

  • Cool.....I saw them at Edinburgh festival 2008, looking 4ward to see them again this year

  • There's actually a hotel that I've been near Lochinver in Sutherland called the albannach

  • I see these guys nearly every weekend playing in Buchanan Street Glasgow as I live near Glasgow (Scotland). I had no idea that they played the Celtic Fling which I confess to have no knowledge of. We have loads of bands like these guys over here.

  • Albannach never fail to deliver. Just saw them again, Friday night, at Grandfather Mtn H.G. Celtic Music Jam. 3rd time I've seen em and they bring the f*cking mountain down every time.

  • who gives a fuck about how they look they´re not models they´re musicians!!!!

    great tune!!!

  • piss off!

  • Hello, ive you like this kind of music so i have to intrduce you two German Bands! One of them called SCHELMISH and the other one called CORVUS CORAX!!! You will love there Music!! Impotant is to hear many different Titels!

  • Totally pumped to see them in south carolina this June ... I'm soooo there!!

  • Looking forward to this year's fling!

  • They performed at the Old English Ren Faire in Peoria Il at Jubilee College State Park the week before this show and were awesome. Everyone loved them. They were unbelieveable and had huge crowds at each show.

  • hey guys, may anyone send me their songs? thanks

  • If you are going by this one Vid then you really must see them live. This group is awesome. When you see them live you will then understand what all the fuss is all about. FOR THE GLORY OF THE CLANNS, Jayson

  • Sorry if anyone got offended. I don't dispute the awesomeness of their sound; we're actually using one of their recordings for a fun highland choreography, which is why I was watching videos.... Some of those guys are extras, but that's just fun, really no offense intended : )

  • They will be at the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire in Gainesville Jan 31 and Feb 1st..

  • It was spectacular. See them tomorrow if you can! (the 1st)

Make sure to bring cash to buy their albums, too, because they don't take cards and the line for the atm is horrid.

    <3

  • wonderful performers! love it!

  • I`ve seen this group for the last seven or eight years at the highland game up at Loon Moutain in New Hampshire. And they are AWSOME. All the members of the group are cool to drink beer with. They play better when they have a little drink in them. There music is absolutly incredible.
