If people like Kesselring, and Goering, had the sense to support the Luftwaffes heavy bomber programme, there would've been a more practical 4 engined bomber to strike at allied targets. Thankfully Luftwaffe in fighting and arguements fatally stalled this concept.

It was originally designed as an airliner. Thus, it's fuselage was too weak to carry large bomb loads.

Oh yes, that footage is as rare as the bird they named it after! Cant imagine the lufwaffe made many of those (in bomber form anyhow)
