My aunt worked on that account. The original ad in that series (going well back before this bobble head offer), featuring the Get a Voss horse, was created by Oppenheim Herminghausen Clarke - a Dayton agency. It was a good campaign.
Weeeellll, this isn't quite it. The original "Get a Voss!" commercial was all animation with the Voss Hoss directing a choir of hosses. The original lyric included "Chevrolet!" after the "Get a Voss!" line. This version is a later redux to advertise the bobbleheads generated after the original jingle. You can tell from the ending that Voss had diversified beyond the original Chevrolets, too. As a Voss purist, I still want the original commercial!!! But thanks so much for posting!
@Xottamoppa I agree. I'd like to see the original, which featured a better chorus and proper mixing (plus the animation). I doubt OHC (the originating agency) had anything to do with this one.
My mom recently moved back to Dayton and told me this commercial has been running since she was a kid. And she's pushing 50! So I just had to see it. Thanks for uploading it. Very funny.
