I've barely played SCII since I bought it shortly after release but I've watched a number of PsY's casts. What I don't understand is why he handles Colossi the way he does. "He's got nine Colossi, NINE Colossi!" - why doesn't he just get Corruptors and roflstomp them? Why aren't Zerg high-level players using them?

Psy, you need to mass roaches and corruptors after you took out the ground. You had alot of reasources and mass corruptors would have taken out those collosus. At any moment, you could then morph them into broodlords.

Also i think in term of voidray stalkers collosus deathball, I think roach hydra corruptors works fine. Except instead of Roach + Hydra + corruptor, u would have to send roach corruptor 200/200 in first

use corruptor to kill all collosus while roaches are tanking

as corruptor die off, reinforce with hydras

eventually u will send in an army full of roach hydra into stalkers vr.

@aquablade Mass mutas is a very good counter to Colossus+Void, because without Phoenix or mass stalkers Toss can't really stop it. The issue is that it is very hard to tech switch INTO mutas lategame. Mutas are only good in large amounts, and are very gas intensive. To go Mutas in a number that does anything, you have to be committed., So abruptly getting mutas is difficult, because in general you build up muta numbers all game steadily, not losing mutas until you have enough,

Psy it's too bad you were playing "scared"(basically like a pussy) since spanishiwa is known to be a high level player. For e.g. once you had your 4 lings out with speed on the way, and with the overlord noting that there was no zealot being made you should have run your lings to his base getting free scouting/picking off probes plus dividing his attention from blocking his ramp possibly allowing for a quick victory

@bbsggnore By the time his lings finished killing the pylon and cybernetics core block, Spanishiwa had a zealot out. That might have worked if he'd sent his lings immediately, but then he wouldn't have been able to expand, so he would have had to do an INSANE amount of damage with those four lings to make it worthwhile. I doubt Spanishiwa, being as good a player as he is, would lose more than a couple of probes to a ling attack, or forget to wall up.

Check your info again. Sentries has the same cooldown (37s) on warpgate than on gateways. However, the difference is the 5 sec that it takes to warp in the sentry. This doesn't make any difference as the cooldown on the warpgate start immediately after the unit starts warping.

i.e. the cooldown would be already at 32s when the sentry is done warping.

There are no advantages with using gateways, blizzard wants you to use warpgates at all times.

Yeah, I know. I was suggesting that his choice to wait for broodlords was a blunder on his part. Because, by waiting for broodlords he allowed his opponent to mass a powerful army. (Which he said several times in the video that he did NOT want to happen).

So, I was suggesting that he engage with his almost maxed army and spend his large amounts of money to reinforce the push, since zerg is good at replenishing your army quickly.
