I'm glad two other people share my opinion. This is such a great Joey Castillo performance. I have this full show too. It's solid from beginning to end.
josh and nick were Queens of the stone age.. Think about it.. You'll never see them play their ballsiest songs ever again together. (tension head/millionaire/etc;) Qotsa is dead in my eyes. Now I feel like it's josh hommes, I don't want to say this, but more "pussy" band. They just don't have the balls they used to have.
Just so the irony could really set in, i hope you were listening to the new single, sick sick sick, when you made this comment, which is one of the least pussy sounding songs ive ever heard.
ok listen.. all i'm saying is they have a completley different sound now, and it's a sound that i kind of like.. like, ok.. I'm a songs for the deaf kind of guy.. I like that record of theirs the most. I also like a few songs from lullbies; medication, everybody knows that you're insane.. but they have a different sound now. and me being a songs for the deaf desert rock feel kind of fellow, i don't really dig the electric, hollow bodied machine sound now.. peace out.
Dude... Shuman sure its great, i really didnt like him too much at the beginning, but he's got some attitude for sure, in Misfit Love you can see those "balls" when he comes out and starts to sing "A Thrill, i need a thrill..."
The Bronze is a song I know :) But I don't like the fact I don't have everything of them. Those EP's you are talking about... That is rare shit, like you say, and it is pretty dificult to get them here (= Belgium)
Pretty difficult is an understatement... To be honest: it is impossible :(
they have 4 lp's, but numerous ep's, which usually have a single from an lp, some covers and some rarities such as ode to clarissa, born to hula and the bronze. Type in 'the bronze qotsa' to see one of their best rarities
WTF? I don't know this soung and I thought I had all the QotSA-records... So they have 5 albums instead of 4? Monsters in your Parasol is a song on Rated R :P But Monsters of the Parasol is an album???
never heard of this album before. i thought I had the whole queens collection, from the kyuss split through to the latest. Was it a b-side single or something?

Why do they ever bother with Dave Grohl? Joey Castillo is so much better - spectacular drumming.
