  • I used to have a camaro... I now have a 92 awd talon that makes roughly 600awhp... I have traction issue in 2nd gear with awd but yet this rwd corvette with more power doesn't? This is a c5 z06 stock there aren't that fast at all....

    its called turbo chatter. its when the turbo wheel pulses...like stops and starts...its really bad for it but it prolly has a shitty BOV and waste gate on it

    sorry that's incredibly wrong. that is most definitely not the turbine/impellar stopping and starting...if you only knew how much momentum a turbo wheel carries. that is just the sound of his bov. some bov's have a somewhat light spring, so you get a little bit of that "fluttering" sound. perfectly normal in this case.

  • the turbo doesnt come on til too high of rpm and doesnt make a very usable powerband, it would just sit on its thumbs in high gear at low revs...not impressed

  • You are completely clueless about the powerband. The turbo comes on full boost around 3000 rpm, prior to that point the car is still a 346 cubic inch motor with 9.5:1 compression and making great torque on its own. The power is always there.

  • 6th gear pull = over 200 mph at redline. My first gear ends at over 60 mph. Obvious you are some kind of bad ass that has no problem going way over 100 mph on public roads and filming it. Direct me to your videos.

  • bull shit fwd is wrong wheel drive that vette will destroy a civic in any race. round a track or other wise, and if you want to talk top speed a stock 6 speed vette reaches top speed in 5 and 6 is a over drive but when you put down 750hp you can push in 6 so the car becomes capable of a honest 230+ mph. i have never heard of a civic doing that. and in turning you are comparing a super car chassis to a economy car the civic loses.

  • you are a moron i never said that the corvette is a unbeatable car. and yes a civic has the potential to beat a souped up corvette but once you get a civic to that state it is not really a Honda any more. because it would be so full of after market parts and not to mention that it would not be very streetable. plus with the time and money invested you would be better off buying a vette and doing a few things to it and have the same capabilitys and better looks

  • first of all that is most defitnetly not an 80k supercar, thats a c5 vette which was 40k brand new which it isnt now, second a vettes a muscle car unless you are refering to a z06 or zr1 which that is not, my car can take turns just fine maybe cuz its a gm who held the leading sales for 78 years straight. wonder y. maybe cuz they make great cars. and your frikin 20k civic would have to be modifed to the point where it wusnt a civic any more using s2k enigne with two turbos to beat a stock vette.

  • You're right about one thing, those curves are dangerous, specially when you're going over 100mph by then. The civic will be alright around the curve, it will only be doing about 40mph. The vette's are cheap and with some cash can be modifies to the extreme. Should i get a 150K supercar or should i buy a 50k Corvette and spend 50k in upgrades. Now what will i do with my extra 50k? Smoke a Ferrari or Lambo? Been there done that. The vette is a car for anyone to own and to be fast.

  • hard time with what, traction? yeah, they pretty much break loose in any gear above 4000 rpm with those tires. i've left plenty of patches on i-290 from roasting the tires @ 80 mph. those are the nitto nt-555r drag radials in an 18". the car has a ccw drag pack now with 16" x 26.5" et street radials.

  • motor wise its what came from the factory except with truck heads w/ dual valvesprings.. compression is about 9.2:1

  • I'm a fan of ricers, and that's not the typical "ricer" response, that's the typical, "too dumb to understand what's going on, (can't figure out that this corvette is a monster)" Response. Yeah if you spend 10k on your ricer, you could beat a stock vette, but not one that has been worked on.

  • That's not a "chirp" as one would think... It's turbo flutter/compressor surge; which can actually be pretty bad for the turbo, as it is air being forced into the turbine going the opposite way, making the turbo slow down.

  • lol, man, lots of uneducated info here. It's not "flutter/surge" as it only happens when he lets off the gas to shift... And that my friend is called a BLOW OFF VALVE, which is used to prevent reverse flow to the turbo when the throttle plate is closed. Read a book maybe...
