What really needs to happen is someone needs to purchase some land and establish a sort of proto-society akin to the Venus Projects design. I know of many people, myself included, who would drop everything else to join into a movement like that. Then all we would have to do is flood the world markets with so many products that Wall Street would double over and collapse on itself.
@Lakopa8 That is often mentioned (test city, research park, etc), but for such as example to be accurate, it would cost around $18 billion (akin to the cost of Masdar). Remember, the overall idea is to create better people, better values, by creating a better environment. To do so requires a significant upgrade in how biological and quality of life needs are met, not through human labor, but via technical abundance. And tech isn't cheap in today's world.

Because the RepRap thing is going along well, and I suppose if someone in Zeitgeist were to have one we could produce as many of them as we needed, forming perhaps a self-replication, totally automated super-factory. Using clever genetic engineering perhaps E. Coli or other bacteria could be programmed to create strong polymers from the ambient air that the factory could use as it's base material. People don't rule people, because there's no need for such rule. There is no central "power" in an RBE. The term "central computer" is demonized incorrectly, as if it makes major decisions for people, but that's not true. All it does is analyze data and arrive at workable solutions for city problems.

I think you missunderstand. A Resource Based Economy Doesn't utilize any governmental practices. All governents do is make laws, establised budgets, and declare war. None of these elements even relevant in a RBE.
Say a governmental structure was established. I would take a government comprized of Scientists and Engineers (who are trained problem solvers) over politicians any day.

I picked up a used book on Europe 1713-1789. It remarks about the class situation in Europe. There were nobles and everyone else. Amongst the nobles, there were a few very rich people, but mostly poor people. So, society really broke down to the really rich few and a mass of poor (including the majority of the nobles). I'm not sure things have changed so much.
Karl Marx was no psychologist and he did not seem to understand the willingness of people to be led.

What really needs to happen is someone needs to purchase some land and establish a sort of proto-society akin to the Venus Projects design. I know of many people, myself included, who would drop everything else to join into a movement like that. Then all we would have to do is flood the world markets with so many products that Wall Street would double over and collapse on itself.

@Lakopa8 That is often mentioned (test city, research park, etc), but for such as example to be accurate, it would cost around $18 billion (akin to the cost of Masdar). Remember, the overall idea is to create better people, better values, by creating a better environment. To do so requires a significant upgrade in how biological and quality of life needs are met, not through human labor, but via technical abundance. And tech isn't cheap in today's world.

Because the RepRap thing is going along well, and I suppose if someone in Zeitgeist were to have one we could produce as many of them as we needed, forming perhaps a self-replication, totally automated super-factory. Using clever genetic engineering perhaps E. Coli or other bacteria could be programmed to create strong polymers from the ambient air that the factory could use as it's base material. All we need is land for the factory! :D

One can just as easily erode the system from within, making "their" operating system pointless & unprofitable, & in the long run ushering in a new system that is more sustainable for the well being of all. Why not spend such time and energy actually trying to fix things, instead of expecting people to just "believe" in unprovable constructs created by a lot of dot connecting? I guess that's why some in the political class aren't too worried about hardening our electrical infrastructure against an EMP or solar flair. It was the threat of violance that made the grasshoppers flee and freed the ants.

People don't rule people, because there's no need for such rule. There is no central "power" in an RBE. The term "central computer" is demonized incorrectly, as if it makes major decisions for people, but that's not true. All it does is analyze data and arrive at workable solutions for city problems.

The good news is, however, that the hardest core of them tend to have physically identifiable brain lesions, which are thought to possibly be responsible for their psychopathy. If we could isolate the condition and develop treatment for it, we might be able to erradicate it entirely.

There is a HUGE difference between engineers & scientists maintaining systems that benefit all & humans whose priority is profit & control using their sick, neurotic ideas to control other humans via violent coercion. Search "Game Theory" (3-4 parts) on YT for starters. BTW I'm an atheist, I don't do cults..

I think you missunderstand. A Resource Based Economy Doesn't utilize any governmental practices. All governents do is make laws, establised budgets, and declare war. None of these elements even relevant in a RBE.
Say a governmental structure was established. I would take a government comprized of Scientists and Engineers (who are trained problem solvers) over politicians any day.
The TZM is a social movement with goals. Not a cult. Cults are religious. The TZM is not.

All the princess ant said was that the time of the oligarchical rule was over. Hell, the ants didn't even attack the grasshoppers in the movie, ironically a storm came and washed them all away. As for the emotions it stirs...to each his/her own. This is supposed to be an emotional piece, powerful, and yes, anger towards the system, which is what this is about. I like the inspirational part of this but im very sad that you emphasize the "them vs us" mentality. You see, the worst thing would be the elite becoming scared of us. Instead we have to embrace them as they are just victims of our culture up till today. I would like if you changed this video. At the very least you should take out the last part "your days are numbered". @hede88 Once again, I urge you. At least delete the "Your days are numbered" part. It gives a feeling of the exact opposite of what the movement is about. You could change it to "your days in power are numbered" that is acceptably. The current one is not, in any way. It insinuates that we want to end their life. @hede88 Look, "You're days are numbered," is talking about their days in power and controlling the masses. Not out to kill them. Don't read into something more than what's there. You are projecting meaning into this based on your own views, not on what is actually said. So no, I'm not changing anything, because what it says is exactly what it means.

think of it this way, having war to stop the war is plain stupid... history has proven this much.
throwing stones at the police to make them see things your way is idiotic, no one will see things your way if u throw stones at them.
i despise the elite as much as most ppl do but threatening "them" is no point.
we, us, all of us, need to change for our own good. the elite will dissapear automatically and we wont even have to move our fingers.

I picked up a used book on Europe 1713-1789. It remarks about the class situation in Europe. There were nobles and everyone else. Amongst the nobles, there were a few very rich people, but mostly poor people. So, society really broke down to the really rich few and a mass of poor (including the majority of the nobles). I'm not sure things have changed so much.
Karl Marx was no psychologist and he did not seem to understand the willingness of people to be led.

Is this video seems very similar to a video karl marx would make. Karl is the guy credited for the creation of communism. He had an idea, which was about the fall of the top class and the rise of workers.
Communism hasn't worked out well so far.

I know who Marx is, and you're missing the point of this clip if that's all you got out of it.
Also, Communism or Socialism can never work. They are fundamentally flawed. They depend on human labor providing for other humans, which can become lopsided, overbearing, controlling and unfair.
However, technology doesn't have emotions or such baggage. Tech can produce 24/7/365 without complaint, and not care who you are or where you come from.

I'm not a supporter of Communism or Socialism, but I do know that Marx's idea was incomplete. A few totalitarian leaders in the past picked up on these ideas, added their own flavors to it, used Marx's labels, and then their ideas failed.
In truth, Communism and Socialism have never really been tried.

I think not. They have the right to stay and benefit from what there is to come in the new age. Having to adapt will make them suffer enough anyway :)

Not so much to the point as Awakening was, but I respect and support your efforts. Power elites are just most ambitious, lucky and frequently neurotic individuals who got to the surface by now outdated economic rules. Confrontation is meaningless as our common enemy is outdated economical system. If cultures motto is homo homini lupus (as currently is) everyone is an ant and a grasshopper at same time.
Those who refuse such roles are left to starve (by unwritten social contract).
