  • i swam in that pool in 1984

you should make a video of the a co 127 sig bn

it was more modern looking and had like a court yard in the center of it on a corner down from the fox hole club

or even the foxhole club that place was huge

they had a topless bar,a hard rock bar, a country western bar,a game room and aafees food place all in one building

they also had beer machines like coke machines in every day room

that place would get pretty crazy on the weekends

  • Nice!

  • I was there yesterday, I live in Aptos and I'm hoping to film an action short there soon...did you have to get any permits to film there?

  • motivate me brother

  • wonderful images... is fascinating that place..

  • Very Nice - I love the colours and the subtle camera movement.

    :D

  • hey Im considering going to UC Santa Cruz to major in film, could you give me an incite on what the film class is like over there? I hope it's not mainly based on theory but rather actual production.

  • i love your videos

im from pakistan and want to do something similar

the only differrence is that i can either afford a camera or a college :P

  • Loooove your videos!

  • great stuff Doug, always good stuff

  • i was just listening to that song right before i clicked this

    niceee

    yet again

  • incredible shots!

  • nice!~

  • awesome! - what kind of dolly did you use?

  • @amslerfilms It's an indifocus indiSLIDER Pro. Great portable dolly for those subtle tracking shots.

  • It's loading, I'm excited! Dude, I love this song. Short but sweet... do you ever have trouble doing tracking or handheld shots with the 5D? I wonder how much that limits filming...

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC With all the rolling shutter issues, handheld is a big no no with the 5D. I mean you can try, but the image gets that nauseating wobble. Tracking shots are fine for the most part, the key is consistency with how you move the camera. A jerky dolly shot can kill your image.

  • Wow your videos just keep getting better and better Doug! Everything you upload is so consistently great. I've always been curious how you pull off shots like the rising camera shot @ 0:15. Is it just hand held or something more complicated? Your shots are so smooth. Anyways keep the work coming :)

  • @Oarthies I don't want to reply FOR him but I would guess he has a mini-dolly that he keeps in his car. That OR, he just mounted his camera on a tripod, and just slid the camera up.

  • @Oarthies That one is actually a crane shot. I got a cheap crane off ebay that works pretty well. For the price, I can't really complain. The shot in the film is a bit shaky, but that's because the wind was acting up that day.

  • wow amazing was this handheld or you use a rig or steadycam ? very smooth and professional shots u did

  • @TheLifestyleflashy Almost all shots were on the Indifocus IndiSLIDER Pro. THe remainder of the static shots were just on tripod. Thanks for the compliment!

  • @KMPer02 na bro thanx to u because u inspire me to do film myself keep up they great work u soon be doing major big productions u have lots of talent

  • @KMPer02 I knew it! IndiSLIDER Pro, I searched Google/my bookmarks for it for about 15 minutes last night trying to find it with no luck... I would think with their popularity, I'd have found it easily. Always wanted one of those.

  • you are a major inspiration to me.

  • @chaseishappy me too!!

  • eerily brilliant.
