  • This is a fantastic recording. I've listened to it many times. However, it doesn't seem to be in pitch. I believe the original recording is a half-step lower. Is it possible that it is slightly sped up?

  • any chance somebody could send it to me too ? Thx jice.gif@gmail.com

  • @slidomix69, I couldn't agree more.

  • 30 yrs ago, I thought this was the greatest trombone solo I'd ever heard. After all these years and countless solos by all the greats like Nash, Rosolino and Watrous, I realize I was right.

  • Can you email it to my gmail account? It is bhaynes9 just like my youtube account. Did I see that you are a flute player? Why do you have recordings of trombone players?

  • @bhaynes9 Ok I'm stupid. I saw the picture of the outdoor performance and just thought your were on the front row with the flutes. You are the euphonium player? That is what I play or played as well. I used to be a pretty famous soloist in the area. I was a Hirshbrunner artist. I'll be glad to send you some recording of euphonium players if you would like.

  • @bhaynes9

    Nice to meet you=]

I can sent it to your email

please give me your acc thanks=]

  • @recca268 bhaynes9@gmail.com Thanks in advance.

  • This is an amazing clip, not just for the incredible range but the wonderful phrasing. I have an old tape recording of this track at a live Airmen of Note concert and it is almost without blemish, absolutely fantastic playing.

I have also had the pleasure of hanging with Dave for a couple of hours when he was in Australia a number of years back, he is an absolute gentleman and very funny to boot.

What a treasure he is to the trombone community.

  • @icemanhank I was actually looking for that recording of the airmen of note doing can you read my mind. I would love to get that from you if possible. I can still remember hearing that as a middle school trombone player and not believing my own ears. I'm now 48 and still remember it like it was yesterday.

  • @bhaynes9 SURE!

  • YES!

  • @MrWoodLin
