  • The question remains: is this your standard answer to Supershot opening? :)

  • I believe paddy did this against reg bamford at the nz open in 2008.

  • I did this at the 2008 NZ Open, but it was against Fulford and Beijderwellen in the doubles.

    To answer menachem77,

    Depends how I'm feeling. I have no 'standard' answer to anything. But definitely on the cards, especially if it's a short supershot ball.

  • o yea thats right.

    So if there if you have no 'standard' answer, what else makes you decide to shoot at it?

    youve got;

    How your feeling,

    short supershot ball,

    anything else?

    I would also look at the skill of my opposition too.

  • 'How I'm feeling' can outweigh anything else. If I'm playing someone great, I'll likely shoot; playing someone I should beat, probably not shoot. Playing someone 50/50, it may be 50/50 whether I shoot. Still, all depends how I'm feeling. Players who come up with mathematical %s of what works where, and dismiss shots that are played on instinct, are simply BORING. They have no sense of fun. If in doubt, hit; go round.
