  • Is it me or is the part where they throw Batman over the edge just unbelievably, hilariously funny/corny? LOL, classic!

  • this looks like such utter shit! even worse than the gay 60s series

  • @idealfury

Whatever you say, imo this and 60s batman > new ones.

  • I LOVE the old Batman Movies !!! I'm a really nostalgic freak!!! I LOVE IT Thanx for upload!! and @nymetsfan9121 : Pleaze Learn English , or tell us the words you want to say here in german!! thanx!! ( omg!!)

  • The Adam West show suddenly makes a whole lot more sense.

  • Batman's grin at 0:11

  • As evident from the "POW!" ,"BANG" words copying to the campy Adam West show, this trailer was made when Columbia rereleased the 1943 serial in 1966 to cash in on the Batmania when the campy Adam West TV became a huge hit.

  • @therudeboy77 The TV show started in January 1966 & they re-released it in 1966 as "Batman and Robin", causing confusion with the 1949 serial which really is titled "Batman and Robin".

Before all that the 1943 serial had been re-released in late 1962 and was playing in theaters here and there up thru 1965. Some theaters began showing it all in one sitting. Columbia issued new posters and advertisements for the all in one showings in December 1965 calling it "An Evening with Batman and Robin".

  • jaja fatman and trollin

  • LOL!!!! "POW!" ,"BANG" words Copy from 1960's TV show.

  • LoL, how corny... To think the great Batman came from campy old fart material... Heh, legend!

  • I suppose to be buy this dvd

  • 1943 then again 1949 the bw batman movies the only batman movies of the 1940s

  • Wow!

I didn't even know this existed!!

    I love these old serials.

Now that I know that this even was, I'm going to order a copy if it's available.

    Thanks TAQN!

  • This is better than all of them because it doesn't count on a Batman being a "Dark Knight" to get the job done. As far as not using the batman villains, it was wartime, so they probably wanted to make him a wartime hero as Captain America was in Marvel. Batman had Dr. Tito Daka and the death Ray, Cap had Red Skull both second world war villains. By the way don't buy the next DVD of Batman serials. (I think it was 1946 or 47) that is less than one star where this is 5 stars.

  • icnat believe the bat the forst than teh man of steel upss i cant no write very well the language

  • This was originally shown in Movie Theaters on Saturday afternoon`s Featuring the Likes of Batman and Robin Superman Captain Marvel Flash Gordon to name a few. Most being 15 Chapter`s long. Great Movie Serial`s for there Time and a Great Time for the kids.

  • It sucked that they didn't use the original Batman villains!

  • Have you even watched these? It's possible they didn't use original villians because of money restraints. It was the 40's they did with what they had. I give it a thumbs up. I haven't seen the Batman & Robin serials, but I saw the original 1943 serial and loved it. You should give it a try.

  • This is better than the Dark Knight though. :D

  • This is many times better than Batman Forever and Batman & Robin (the new one) combined.

  • Agreed.

  • That's actually pretty dramatic.

  • this looks better than the 60s gay one

  • no da 60s was good dis looks better den batman nd robin 97

  • agreed.

  • Yes it's better than Batman Forever and Batman & Robin (the new one). But not Batman Begins.

  • all you my bat fans will like the batman a lot better when the batman be comes the new wwf champion.

  • Is it just me, Or dose this Batman look even tougher then Adam West Batman?

  • I liked this serial alot better than BATMAN AND ROBIN. For one the Batman looked better in this one, in the second one he looked like Devil-Man. Plus Robin looked more like a kid and not a 30 something. Did you know that Alfred originated in this serial and was added to the comic afterwards? The down-side is the fact that the racial prejudice so rampant at the time is blatantly obvious when you watch this.

  • this is not the "Batman and Robin" trailer. That was made in 1949, and came six years after this one. This is the "BATMAN" trailer from 1943. The first Batman film ever.

  • I saw this trailer on TV in the 60s and I was confused."Who are these imposters they're calling Batman and Robin?", I surely thought.
