  • how often do you usually redo your whole head?

  • Love those ear rings girl!!

  • Do you know any online stores to buy a scarf (like you put around your edges) from?

  • does the bottle contain just water or is it vegetable gylcerine water mix?

  • Okay, so I this vid when you first uploaded it and I just it must have suck bc this week I'm finding myself preserving my hair this way and my hair is going great (I don't normally rock a twist out) Thanks!

  • One word....'AMAZING'. Just what I was looking for. Ty so much :o)

  • You have the most AMAZING hair!!!

  • Would it be bad for natural hair if you braided it for long periods of time other than over night like you do with the twists? Usually I braid my hair and try to grow it out, but I noticed it's not giving me the results I want. So, do braids damage hair and pull it out?

  • How do you wrap your hair at night?

  • I can't wait until my hair is your length. Your hair looks so awesome. I like your style too.

  • I can't lie you have a lot of hair to maintain lol

  • do you exercise? I am very active and I I honestly never have any idea what to do with my hair after. I dont wanna re-wet all of it, but it's just so frizzy that I don't know how I can possibly retwist it without wetting all of my hair :(

  • My hair doesn't really shrink a whole lot either maybe 30%

  • such great tips on this video...thank you!!

  • it could be because her hair is really long it weighs a little more then say someone with 10 inches of hair

  • Girl you are so cheerful & sweet, aside from having amazing hair, you seem like a sweetheart! I don't mean 2 gush lol but just nice 2 watch some1 so positive & upbeat, keep it up! BTW killer style with clothes/accessories

  • Does your hair ever tangle throughout the week? Also what is the type of oil you use that you put on and the end

  • could you please do a 360 more often when you show your hair? I only see the front and little bit of the sides of your hair, but never the back. I would love to see all sides of your hair! I love your videos and you are so inspiring!

    xx

  • Chime! girl I have loved your hair since undergrad! Nice video!

  • i dont know my or my daughters hair type. how do i find out? is your hair type considered really kinky?

  • I liked the way you brushed your shaved hair I thought that was funny and cute!! : ) Love your Hair!!! its such an inspiration!!!

  • those earings r giving me life right now!!!

  • I am STILL in sheer AWE of ur hair, WOW. It's magnificent :)

  • is olive oil considered a light oil?

  • giovanni has a liter leave in??where can it be purchased. i have the deep moisture conditioner which i use for cowashes, can it be used as a leave in if the leave in can't be found?

  • @belizeanqd Try TJ Maxx or Marshall's. . . I think they run about $12.99

  • that shaved side is really working for you.

  • this helped a lot

  • Whoa!! LOL Nice earings...I ♥ them alot

  • hair porn.

  • Please address the shrinkage question. I keep seeing the question, so a lot of us want to know. Why don't you experience shrinkage?

  • @candygirl2319 I can't answer that question because I don't know why lol It is just the way my hair is. I do experience shrinkage but it's only about 4 inches. I never noticed it until you guys brought it to my attention...I guess it's rare to have type 4a 4b hair and have little shrinkage.

  • @HairCrush Thanks! Man, I thought you had the secret answer to share with the rest of us.

  • @HairCrush it might be since your hair is so long the weight of your curls cuts down the shrinkage. unless even when it was shorter you didnt have shrinkage. just a possibility. :)

  • @HairCrush.here's help: It is possible to have a kinky texture of hair with little shrinkage. From my experience(as I have 3 different hair types and textures) Hair that is loose with little to no curl or coil definition does not shrink as much. My hair is like that in the front, it is coarser w/ no def.. The tighter the curl pattern the more it will shrink.( my 4a areas). So Chime your overall hair texture, although coarse in nature is still really loose, so there is not as much shrinkage.

  • *great technique,!love your hair (:

  • is it possible to have a hair lust??!

i keep staring at your length!

  • i have a quick question: do u wear those scarves around ur neck for decoration or to protect ur hair from ur clothes? thanks in advance.

  • @tanyfromva lol It's just a part of my outfit.

  • Hey Chime,

I love your youtube channel!!!!!! i created an account just to be able to subscribe to your channel. Your videos are so inspirational and I know you have more for us to come. I'm 16 years old and this will be my first time going natural i'm 7 or 8th months into transitioning and i must say its hard to stay on this journey sometimes, but its people like you who make this process much more easier so keep up the good work!

  • How do you maintain your pin curls?

  • Please post a regimen vid. That's all I ask. Thanks. :)

  • Love your videos! Where do you purchase the Gallon of Leave In Conditioner from?

  • @CurlyCaprice

I believe it's a Liter not a Gallon. But you can either purchase it online at MassageWarehouse or try Marshalls or TJMaxx.

  • is ur hair shaved on one side?

  • Try the STAY ON SATIN POCKET BONNET it's better than the regular bonnet, the pocket can fit all your hair init and you can tie around loose or tightly...I notice that when I used to wear braid sets for years the texture and curl pattern became less curly and more crimpy or wavy it stretched more looser just like yours over time.

Quick Question do you think the twists set doing it over the years has changed the texture of your hair that's why it's much more looser and less shrinkage?

  • OMG I do the same thang!!

  • hair product video pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase like all the products u use from shampoos to conditioners to moisturizers

  • Thanks for the tips, hon!

  • Thanks for the "scarf to save edges" tip. I usually just use a bonnet.

  • i wanna go natural too, but i'm... i'm idk

  • Hey Chime, the stocking cap over the bonnet is a smart idea. I'm a wild sleeper too, mine always ends up off my head by the mornin

  • Your hair is beautiful, can you do outfts of the day vids? I like the blazer tee combo but would have loved to see the bottom like if you added pants or a skirt.

  • They sell Giovanni's conditioner in a gallon size?? Where is thaaat? lol

  • @carycouture massagewarehouse

  • I do the same but I never wear a scarf around my edges. It's a great tip. Thanks!

  • You must get harassed everywhere you go!

  • Could you demonstrate how much of your edges you relaxed while transistioned and tell how you did it?

  • chime? will you marry me?!

  • Your hair is AMAZE! Can you please do a video and talk about how you grew your hair that long, and what was your steady method on retaining your length? That would be awesome!

  • Chime luv ur vids. The hair is sick! It wld be interesting too if u cld post sum vids on fashion (where u get ur clothes, jewelry, etc..) U have a great sense of style.

  • "I'm such a dude" lol that was funny, Great vids keep it up girly i cant wait to reach that length!

  • I read in your interview on CN awhile back that you DC with Aubrey Organic's GBP and since I started doing that my hair has thrived! Thank you!

PLEASE do a regimen video! Im DYING to know what works for you! :)

  • Where did u get those gorgeous earrings from!?

  • @alexism84 A friend made them for me:)

  • Great tip about allowing the bottom to be bigger. My hair is shorter and I'm transitioning so its all gotta be cute. Anyway. Thanx for the tips! Love your channel!!

  • cool. the bandana really help me out on my twists. i got done faster, my bangs hang a lot longer, and I had a easier time putting in an updo.I will be trying this stye again. thanks

  • Hi chime, what is that scarf made from please?

  • @divirtuallady It's a satin scarf. I picked it up from a beauty supply store.

  • Great Video.....

  • Very good idea. It looks good.

  • Very easy and convenient. Great tut Chime!

  • girl your hair is the bomb! Your regimen is very similar to mine but I have alot less hair, but its all good! Love the vids! Peace

  • Great idea! I think the stocking cap and the large twist will also help prevent excess tangling because your hair can't move around. Keep the great videos coming!

  • I love your hair and your tips, you're my new hair idol ! :-)

  • Giovanni has a spray leave-in you can use so that you won't frizz it all up. its called fusion 'something' can't remember lol. I use it like every other day.

  • @Haircrush, hello and thanks for sharing this.. its really helpful.

Have you worn twist outs throughout your natural journey so far? i mainly wear twists but want to try twist outs for variation. Many naturals wear protective styles to retain length( i understand different things work for us all). Have you found twist outs helpful in retaining length or do you attribute your length rentention to other factors? thanks in advance :)

  • girl i used to use stocking caps too!!!!

  • Pretty

  • thats was an awesome video dont get me wrong.... but those EARRINGS! i love!!!

  • ahhhh, when my hair grows up, it wants to be like yours...ahhh.

  • Your hair is gorgeous! Do you ever experience any type of breakage?

  • Do you apply oils?

  • Hi HairCrush,

After you wash your hair and detangle it, does your hair shed a lot?

  • Your clothing style is awesome...!!!

  • Is that a satin scarf or just cotton? Good tip!

  • that is some serious hair! man lets switch heads lol. the shaved part is growing back already aswell

  • You are definitely MY HAIR CRUSH!! look forward to ur up coming videos!!!

  • those earrings are the truth!

  • Awesome, thnaks!..

  • Lovely. Your hair is so beautiful.

I was wondering if you've developed a regimen ? If so can you tell us about it?

  • You do it right you keep your regimen very simple!

  • Great tutorial! Your hair thickness is amazing!

  • When you first was natural, did you get significant shrinkage? It seems as if you hardly experience any now.

  • @SaSSyb4ClaSSY I think its just a characteristic of Chime's hair. The vast majority of naturals type 4s / 3 cs, even the super long ones, have a LOT of shrinkage. Some have nearly waist length hair that shrinks up to their shoulders/ neck.

  • nice and easy! lol

  • nice little trick with the retwisting.

  • love this plan of just doing the more visible parts! so clever and definitely a great time saver!

  • do you ever do wash n go's???

  • @twinkies03 Yes! A video is coming soon!
