  • Why did you push the little button on top of de stand before moving the flywheel??

  • to hava a thermo acoustic Stirling engine, instead of the flame you must have a speaker or another device that makes a sound. the sound wave created will displace the gas, aheat exchanger and so on. this is just a regular Stirling engine

  • what is the uotput of this engine

  • looks beautiful!

  • whats the material present in the test tube

  • Inner material is stainless steel pot scourer.

Re: inefficient design - in this small scale model, there are no problems... the engine runs... it is only a model... just meant to demonstrate the principle.

  • In efficient design sorry. The pistons are not timed to the expansion of the heated gas. one piston is pushed against the other or away from the other against the will of the expanding gas, on a large scale it would break at the high pressure areas.

  • Put both flames on one engine and see if the other engine gets super cold.

  • push-pull

  • what exactly is it that you're heating up inside the glass tube?

  • Hmmm, thermo-acoustic? It doesn't have displacer?

  • Very nice. Add a magnet & coil and light

    an LED!

  • yes but you have to keep the flame on it

  • Can you measure or estimate the torque? (power is torque x speed)
