Casey probably did the Tila thing b/c it'd be easier to let go of Tila to get her money back since she wasn't truly engaged with that fake ring. I'd also bet that Grandpa Johnson would rather Casey have money than be manupilated and controlled by her family. Having her daughter seemed to be the most important thing to her.

I agree. The change does need to come from within.. My point is... perhaps the parents should have put a halt on their own ambitions (of being on page 6), and all of their social affairs, and perhaps been there more when Casey was growing up. I'm fortunate enough to have grown up in an affluent area, and the people I know are really low key. Like I said, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Her parents didn't give her coping skills.
