I was in the ER for SI, i walked in in on my own seeking a safe place, for the time in crisis....
after a few hours i got really upset, and took the can that they gave me, i took the can and broke it in half, and started to cut myself...a nurse walked in, walked out and then came in with 2 more people, i was told to turn the can over i did, but i guess that i was lucky enough NOT to be restrained....i was just put 1 on 1....
You seem like a really nice person I hope you are better now its been 3 years. The way you were treated at a hospital sounds like a medical center at a prison. Sorry that this happened to you. You are a really special person so I hope you are doing better now. :)
Nice video. U were pretty funny and seem like a fun person to be around. I don't really sh, but the most I have done is scartch on my skin with my nail. It just stays red, but would fade in like a day.

I've been restrained many times... usually protocol is one to one on anyone who is restrained. I've been restrained for punishment. I've been overdosed on benzos just to make me more aggressive also. Restraints are so demeaning. I am very sad you had to undertake them. :(
The only thing you got wrong here was the fact why you were checked on every 15 minutes. It was not to make sure you foot or you were ok, like the doctor said. It's to make sure you haven't escaped/hurt yourself and that you're still breathing. That's it, he wasn't lieing to you.

Restraints are not used as "punishments" they are used to protect you from yourself, and to protect those around you. Most mental hospitals are not corrupt, they have specific guidelines to follow, all of which are directed towards the care of the patient. I'm not saying that there aren't cases of people abusing their power, there are in all places, but I don't think that preventing you from cutting yourself is necessarily an abuse of power.
hospital staff should be fired for "torturing" a sick person. If they were torturing a person with a broken leg/arm by wiggling the broken appendage, it's the same damn thing This is why when I cut I sow myself up and not go to the ER.

From what I hear, most mental hospitals are corrupt. They illegally take perfectly sane people in. Being in a secluded room with no one causes him/her to go insane, so now the patient, I mean victim, is now in the insane asylum legally. The more patients, I mean victims, they have, the more money they make. It's an ingenious plan. And for some reason it seems to get past the law enforcers.

No. It doesn't say that in the bible. I don't know what bible your reading but it doesn't say that he went to Hell. He went to heaven. And yes Hell is biblical. They talk about hell all the time in the Bible. And god sends people to hell if they don't believe in him. He is a very loving God yes. But only those who believe go to Heaven. You should want everything to do with him.
The term of hell came from the term Gehanna. Gahenna was the place where the people in ancient times got rid of the bodies of those who couldnt afford burial. It was a pit that was always aflame because new things were always being tossed into it. There came an expression from that. They say that when people die the body AND the soul is destroyed in Gehenna. They say that to symbolize and eternal destruction. Some bibles translate the word Gehenna into Hell.

God can take away your pain. I've seen it. I suffered from Horrible depression and almost killed myself about 50 times. God has taken that pain away. Yes. The devil does give us all of this feelings. @sirprancealot22 It's a mental disorder. Yes, by some sort of miracle God may make it go away, but it has nothing to do with being a Christian. There is nothing saying that a self-injurer will not end up in heaven. You can ask for forgiveness, and feel remorse. A mental illness doesn't "just go away" when you pray... there are miracles, but there are also tons of people living with mental illness, God loves them too, and he understands.

Imagine you're strapped to the bed. Then they come in with a needle. You get pissed and you just break out of the straps and your arm turns into a gun and you blast the dude right in the chest. You snap the gate guards' necks and make your escape.
We never know when Jesus will get here. So you should just repent now. You can't just do it right before he comes. So just repent now. :) I'll help you. Just pray and say. "God, I'm sorry that I've sinned lord. Please forgive me. And lord. When I die please send me to heaven. Lord please. I know I messed up and I wanna turn my life around for you. I do use this channel 2 raise awareness of SI and share what Ive 2 say. I dont want a channel like all else cuz I feel this needs 2 b talked about. I get 2 share ways 2 recover. If no one did that then who would be a help 2 those who feel the same?
U will find only a minority of my vids r about my own SI, but more of where 2 get help and how 2 recover. I feel Im accomplishing something here & it's kinda sad that you would wanna step on that.

I hurt myself 4 a lot of reasons. I had major depression and anxiety. I was living with memories of childhood abuse and sometimes I cut because I felt dirty and I wanted to feel something else

Cutting is a project. Done to make someone think that everything is gonna be ok because you're working on something: your project of self mutilation..but how many different projects will it take for people to realize that everything really isn't gonna be ok. @speaks66 It's a lot harder to stop than you think. It can become an addiction to a lot of people, and like with any other addiction, it's hard to 'just stop.' It's like telling someone who is addicted to drugs to stop. It's harder for people who haven't been there to understand why people who self injure can't just wake up and decide not to do it.

I hate people who think I'm broken just because I cut. I'm NOT broken, and when something's not broken you don't need to fix it. Don't they realize most people cut to live? It's so frustrating because no one understands except others who self harm.
On the one hand, it is pretty cool to do this stuff. Sorta. On the other, not much so. Very much not so. Believe me.
Around here the doctors seem to get it. They stitch you back together, without saying much. One of them even obliged me once, and went without the local anesthetic for some solid 30-40 deep stitches. I slept well after somebody cared about me as much.
Did that leave me proud and feeling well? No. Just weird and even more isolated than before. Cuts only work in the short term...

ick I hate restraints. I got put in them in a psych hospital when I was like..8-10 years old except it was to a board or mat and they left me in the "time out " room like an hour like that and I ended up crapping my pants and had to scream for 10 minutes before one of the Nurses came in.

when i was in the phsyciatric ward and i tried to kill myself they dragged me into a room, held me down, cut my clothes off of me, and forced me into a flimsy paper gown (witch was ripped to shreds in the process) and i was locked in a small, cold room for 4 hours. so glad i'm through with that.
Never actually been to the hospital for si. But I think that I'd be one of the kids they'd have to tie to the bed. I…do…not…like…hospitals.
I had appendicitis when I was about 7 and it really freaked me out, especially since I went into the trauma section and they asked me all these questions and I couldn't stand up and I was still jetlagged…:P horrible memory.
nurses and doctors can be so insensitive! the head psychiatrist of my case said to me 'when i come back in after the weekend, if you have made so much as one more cut, i will put you on forms under the mental health act, take away your rights as a patient, and send you to the locked ward.' RIDICULOUS. i knew i couldnt do that so whilst i was still a voluntary patient with my rights i packed my bags and discharged myself! was re-admitted not long after.. OHWELL
thats sounds so scary...being tied down would make me even worse! Drive me even more insane!! I don't think I could handle it. Those people make me so angry..they won't believe anyone if they think their "insane" ugh

I was in a mental ward for 5 years for chronic bed wetting.
Clearly I was misdiagnosed with 'developmental retardation,' in the end it was discovered I was a deep sleeper and all I had was juvenile enuresis.
Mum was sick of changing nappies, so she had me institutionalized from age 7 until I was12.
Unfortunately I was sodomized by a homosexual staff member while there, yet nobody believed my story for years!
It was a living hell that drove me to the brink and tried taking my life multiple times.

No. It doesn't say that in the bible. I don't know what bible your reading but it doesn't say that he went to Hell. He went to heaven. And yes Hell is biblical. They talk about hell all the time in the Bible. And god sends people to hell if they don't believe in him. He is a very loving God yes. But only those who believe go to Heaven. You should want everything to do with him.

The term of hell came from the term Gehanna. Gahenna was the place where the people in ancient times got rid of the bodies of those who couldnt afford burial. It was a pit that was always aflame because new things were always being tossed into it. There came an expression from that. They say that when people die the body AND the soul is destroyed in Gehenna. They say that to symbolize and eternal destruction. Some bibles translate the word Gehenna into Hell.

God can take away your pain. I've seen it. I suffered from Horrible depression and almost killed myself about 50 times. God has taken that pain away. Yes. The devil does give us all of this feelings. He whispers in our ear just what makes us mad because he hates God. But I'm still going to say all of the TRUE things on here. You guys can't stop me. :)

@sirprancealot22 It's a mental disorder. Yes, by some sort of miracle God may make it go away, but it has nothing to do with being a Christian. There is nothing saying that a self-injurer will not end up in heaven. You can ask for forgiveness, and feel remorse. A mental illness doesn't "just go away" when you pray... there are miracles, but there are also tons of people living with mental illness, God loves them too, and he understands.

U will find only a minority of my vids r about my own SI, but more of where 2 get help and how 2 recover. I feel Im accomplishing something here & it's kinda sad that you would wanna step on that.

I never heard some1 say that they hurt themselves because of my vids. Quite the opposite in fact. I get a lot of people who write 2 me and say how much of a difference I have made 4 them
I hurt myself 4 a lot of reasons. I had major depression and anxiety. I was living with memories of childhood abuse and sometimes I cut because I felt dirty and I wanted to feel something else

@speaks66 It's a lot harder to stop than you think. It can become an addiction to a lot of people, and like with any other addiction, it's hard to 'just stop.' It's like telling someone who is addicted to drugs to stop. It's harder for people who haven't been there to understand why people who self injure can't just wake up and decide not to do it.

On the one hand, it is pretty cool to do this stuff. Sorta. On the other, not much so. Very much not so. Believe me.
Around here the doctors seem to get it. They stitch you back together, without saying much. One of them even obliged me once, and went without the local anesthetic for some solid 30-40 deep stitches. I slept well after somebody cared about me as much.
Did that leave me proud and feeling well? No. Just weird and even more isolated than before. Cuts only work in the short term...

ick I hate restraints. I got put in them in a psych hospital when I was like..8-10 years old except it was to a board or mat and they left me in the "time out " room like an hour like that and I ended up crapping my pants and had to scream for 10 minutes before one of the Nurses came in.

@iamtheomegachild because in many situations, people get violent. (who knew someone wouldn't enjoy being strapped down to a bed and secluded for 4 hours?) and kicking can ensue so, that is why.
when i was in the phsyciatric ward and i tried to kill myself they dragged me into a room, held me down, cut my clothes off of me, and forced me into a flimsy paper gown (witch was ripped to shreds in the process) and i was locked in a small, cold room for 4 hours. so glad i'm through with that.

Never actually been to the hospital for si. But I think that I'd be one of the kids they'd have to tie to the bed. I…do…not…like…hospitals.
I had appendicitis when I was about 7 and it really freaked me out, especially since I went into the trauma section and they asked me all these questions and I couldn't stand up and I was still jetlagged…:P horrible memory.

nurses and doctors can be so insensitive! the head psychiatrist of my case said to me 'when i come back in after the weekend, if you have made so much as one more cut, i will put you on forms under the mental health act, take away your rights as a patient, and send you to the locked ward.' RIDICULOUS. i knew i couldnt do that so whilst i was still a voluntary patient with my rights i packed my bags and discharged myself! was re-admitted not long after.. OHWELL
