  • Best way is running, you get to eat whatever you want, keep you in good shape, good

for your heart, lungs, sugar, cholesterol, diabetis, helps sleeping, helps your stress

yoga could be more like a relaxation but i dont think you can burn 1,000 calories

with a yoga pose but you can burn 1,000 calories running 6 miles, just today i ran

7 miles and i have a medium peperoni pizza, like i said you can eat almost everything

if you run,but if you wanna lose a lot of weight you need running and diet or magic.

  • "asking people" is not a good substitute for looking up the right answer

"asking people" is the pretty girl method

  • Recommendations from the American Heart Association — not a part of official U.S. dietary guidelines — say that most American women should consume no more than 100 calories a day from added sugar from any source, and that most American men should consume no more than 150 calories a day from added sugar, and that even less is better. That's about 6 teaspoons of added sugar for women and 9 for men.

  • Studies by the American Medical Association suggest "it appears unlikely that HFCS contributes more to obesity or other conditions than sucrose", but welcome further independent research on the subject.[12] Further reviews in the clinical literature have disputed the links between HFCS and obesity,[13] diabetes,[14] and metabolic syndrome,[13] and concluded that HFCS is no different from any other sugar in relationship to these diseases.[dubious – discuss]

  • I love the corn syrup industry commercials -- "It is just sugar, no different than sugar" OK, well guess what, nobody is supposed to eat sugar all day either. HFCS is in everything -- especially products that say "Low Fat". When you eat potatoes do you put sugar on them -- how about green vegetables -- yet there are processed vegetables with HFCS in them

  • What..."Deep throats"

  • because u eat alot

  • What Tara is saying is true, however, I think that it stings to hear a person who was probably never fat try to instruct people who may have had problems with weight since they were little children on how to stay thin. It is also oversimplifying to say that people who are fat are just eating McDonalds everyday. Overeating and binge eating is much more a mental issue than it is an issue of simply making poor choices. My problem has always been eating too much food. I'm a vegan and not skinny.

  • avocado is a fruit.. anything with a seed inside is considered a fruit.. or so they say! seems people take the title a bit to seriously.. I think the point of the video is awareness.... being aware goes a long way.. it's something that is lacking today! I've heard about you but haven't checked you out until I started following Bex @ bexlife! I've been wanting to incorporate a more serious yogi routine than just once every couple months.. ;) so thanks for bringing informative videos to youtube!

  • oops yoga not yogi

  • its obvious that you're just looking for attention. the way you walk into the room and have confidence shows that. Shows that you know you're not fat or ugly or anything. so gtfo youtube.

  • you're fat cos you eat too much. bitch.

  • ur such an inspritation just discovered u today watching all ur videos now hahah

  • If you are fat, then skeleton = skinny

  • Obviousely you are not fat,

  • the question is, why is food so damn good?

  • @otoole420 you're a marine, you don't find women, women find you

  • to all of the idiots saying all fat people eat a lot, sometimes people have a thyroid disorder which even if you hardly eat anything, or eat healthy, you can't lose weight at all unless you're given medication for it

My friends in school bother me everyday and I sometimes feel like killing myself so please if anyone is out there that can help me I am begging you help me. :(

  • @123456789099451 If they were your friends they wouldn't bother you about it...you probbaly are beautiful and have a wonderful personality...you shouldn't kill yourself..it may seem like no one cares, but believe me, people do. Even if it's only one person someone loves you. if you are overweight it might be hereditary. Ill pray for you.

  • When you're done thinking about being "fat" and providing information that anyone could find on google, you look for me and I will give your disgusting "fat" ass an orgasmic workout that will burn a couple of waist sizes right off!!!

  • White Sugar is usually what is reffered to as "sugar", there are many different kinds of "sweeteners". My favorite is Agave.

  • if you want to lose weight , dont eat fast foods, drink soda, or large meals and/or meals with soda or high suger items, i lost 15 lbs by stopping eating out all the time, its so east to get fat by eating out,

  • One of the major problems with nutritionally lacking food is that you get hungry for more food faster because your body wants BETTER food. Overall I have one downfall: doublestuffed oreos. Worst of the worst. But I can't seem to stop eating them! I know they're horrible for me, but they taste so, so good! Advice on how to quit oreos? lol

  • wave your arms around more. It gives more authority to what you say

  • wasn't deep at all

  • come on guy and girls, we all know yoga girls are the best in bed,

  • Aspartame !......become aware !.....HFCS is less of a threat than Aspartame Tara !

  • dont say that man listen to twisted transistor by korn "a lonely life, where no one understands u..but dont give up..becuz tha music do"XD

  • if this girl didnt have a vagina, no one would talk to her. Another chick with a huge ego. Clock is ticking sweet tits, then youll come back to reality

  • cunts

  • i see the secret monkey on the table!!

  • Sugar is not "fine", Tara. Look it up.

  • You just need to go to my school. You'll drop 1 stone in 2 weeks. Guaranteed. The summer vacation is just about eating loads cuz seriously, you'll need it.

practice yoga....if u want if not thas cool

    lolll

whens the boxing deep thought video coming out :(

  • Information presented on HFCS was misleading. Sugar is mainly sucrose (combination of fructose and glucose). HFCS is the same thing (fructose and glucose) except they are individual monomers. Fat is fat, all excess sugars get converted to fat, whether it is table sugar or HFCS. HFCS may cause a quicker increase in blood glucose levels compared to table sugar, since table sugar needs slightly more processing. There is no such thing as "HFCS FAT"!!

  • Avacado is a fruit. A fruit is the reproductive product of a plant whereas a vegetable is the plant itself. "Sweet fruits" (grapes, apples, melons, citrus, etc.) are normally considered fruits by most people but tomatoes, cukes, squash, peppers or anything with a seed are technically fruits. Leafy greens, brocholli, cauliflower and things like that are technically vegetables :-)

  • points to be taken!

    sexy dress!

  • you never did a "deep thought" on why you do boxing... i want to know!!

  • if your big-boned duz thaat mean your fat lol plz reply anyone cuz its a randomly-good question !!

  • Alot of people that are fat

    have a low matabalism.

    But ha. your really pretty,

    a good speaker and I wouldn't

be surprised if the next time I saw you

was the host of a bigtime t.V show :)

  • You are so right! Our body not only knows what's good for it, it often, if not always, knows what's wrong with you (more than the doctors). I found out I was allergic to one medicine and that another was giving me arthritic reactions through my body...the doctors couldn't figure it out.

  • why are you fat? cuz you eat a shit load

  • Yeah she really is... And she really knows her subject too..

  • She really is a dream girl... no offense Tara

  • i think you need too gain about 75lbs then you would be hot.keep going and you'll be a twig.

  • You are funny and cool. good jobby job.

  • your hot I'm sorry but you really are.

  • There's nothing more attractive than a woman who is beautiful, smart, and funny all rolled up into one!

  • Lovely dress Tara, it's so funny you box, I bet you kick ass, lol!

  • hi tara, i like your post, interesting about the corn syrup, there is also another thing to stay clear of, Hydrogenated fats. These fats you cant get rid of no matter how much you exercise. many foods have these fats in so watch what you eat!

  • Hi Tara. I know that yoga works on increasing flexibility, but can it also replace training with weights to tone and strengthen the body? It's hard to fit cardio, weight training, and yoga into an already busy week! Thanks.

  • holy poop ur hto

  • you should do a strip tease

  • im the same size as you but i want to gain weight becuase i think its too thin.

  • try nand eat more :)

  • You bring sunlight to my day

  • thanks for the advice. I get excited when I talk about health and yoga and don't aspire to come off self-obsessed. but thanks for thinking i'm attractive :)

  • Hello Tara. You are certainly not self-obsessed nor do you have anything "wannabe" about you. Your style is confident, fun and well spoken and your videos define that. It's nice to see a beautiful smart woman who shares her common sense. I follow the same lifestyle and agree with your approach.

Killer smile by the way....keep up the good work!

  • You're funny, animated and open. That is attractive.

  • @TaraStilesYoga So, 2 years later, but I feel it needs to be said: "By swallowing evil words unsaid, no one has ever harmed his stomach." There is some advice for the advice giver. I couldn't disagree more with the above poster, Tara. You come across as very genuine, confident, and (dare I say) enthusiastic. The world could use more people like you. You're the best.

  • ye but ur tu skinny

  • I love this video... I'm disappointed that HFCS stays in my system for so long (I'm still paying for past sins). Any good tips that can help me burn off those last several pounds of corn syrup? haha

  • is it ok to listen to mellow music while you're doing yoga? or is it the same as watching tv?

  • music is good. and good for yoga too! :)

  • Thanks for the advice Tara. The problem is that I have a hectic schedule right now and can't always do yoga every day. If I go to a yoga class three times a week, is that enough to reap the benefits you describe here? I also try to walk three times a week for cardio exercise.

  • three times a week is a great start! also there are simple things you can do during the day that only a couple minutes...like simple breathing techniques for the morning and at night. :) just sit up in bed comfortably and close your eyes and breathe in and out through your nose for a few minutes....good for you!

  • mmmmh mexican coke

  • Is interesting because the nutrionist from the psychetruth channel said the exact same thing, about listening to your own body.

Sometimes people think they are hungry but their body is just asking for water or minerals.

  • I don't see how this applies to someone with reactive hypoglycemia....

  • your hot

  • Oh yeah, my point... Whether it is an hour at the gym or an hour of kickboxing followed by more MA training, I wrap up my workouts with the stretching & breathing exercises (some identical to Yoga & indeed come directly from the "union" Art). I do this primarily for the mental 'centering' aspects but I also believe in stretching at the end of the workout instead of the start. Warming up - yes. Hardcore stretching? I wait till the end of the workout to get the biggest benefit in flexibility.

  • I like variety too - and due to a litany of injuries, it is necessary. Love boxing & kickboxing. I have cut that back to just once per week though (shoulder & knee "issues"). For awhile I was doing a ~1hr kickboxing class immediately followed by 1.5hrs of either teaching or learning Hapkido, a more grappling oriented Art (least in our style it is anyway). Anyway, today is Friday so I will be either teaching or learing one or the other from ~5pm till ~9pm. Fun, fun!!!

  • LOL - indeed.

You mention that you do both as far as working out at the gym and Yoga; tell me, is that both in one day? If so, would you do the gym workout first & then Yoga or the other way around? ...And why?

Not trying to pick at you - I am genuinely interested. Thanks!!!

  • I actually teach a good friend of mine yoga and he teaches me boxing. Joe Dowdell, owner of Peak performance. We usually do a back to back, I teach him yoga, and then we box. It's good for me to mix up my routines to keep my body on its toes! I build my heart! I get a lot of heart/cardio with the kind of yoga I practice, so nothing else is really necessary for me if I practiced yoga 5 days a week, but for now it's enjoyable for me to do a variety of exercises.

  • With your frame you should try kickboxing....Kicks are much more powerful, and you never know when you may need to defend yourself against mutants who have escaped from Jersey

  • ...Can one not practice enhancing awareness and intuition while riding the "bike that goes nowhere"? Is this not a function of proper breathing & proper mindset? I thought one could practice "Yoga" while sweeping the floor? Deep. LOL...

  • sure...that could work. these are just ideas to get people going. you can be doing yoga while doing anything else...if you are paying attention to the tv while you're on the bike that goes no where then probably just making marshmallow brain :)

  • Deep Thoughts...With 'Jack Handy'.....That is me...Jack Handy...Especially when I watch these Yoga vids

  • Whew...close one. "Daily Affirmations with Stuart Smalley" and you'd a been toast!

  • bad fructose!!! you are skinny, you are hot. and i like the secret monkey chilling on the side there...

  • OMG You're so hot!

  • it costs a lot to live in a city.

  • So truth about "awareness and intuition".

And they make the big difference in my life!

And while I've never been fat I had my times when I wasn't eating really healthy and that stopped when I started yoga, is like I felted that I should take more care of my body and my body wasn't really asking for this unhealthy foods.

Also about nutrition, yoga make the body accelerate the metabolism and the effect last for days and will eventually make you thin, plus you will need it to keep up.

  • right on frrrrran! thanks for the tips!

  • okay acting like a flake doesnt make you seem more intellegent about fitness......... Tell me like it is pls.. no scatterbrain acting pls.... be firm and i will accept cuz u seem to sound knowledeable..

  • oh man.....you didn't get my SNL deep thoughts with jack handey reference! :)

  • Nice yoga vids, really got me interested in it. Oh.. and wow you're sooo sexy hehehe ;)

  • Dammm, you just touched me in many ways...That was Beautiful. Although I don't know about the Organic Food stuff.I feel its somewhat like a fad. If you live in a populated city you know what im talking about."Ohhhh, you need to go here they sell 8 dollar organic eggs They are Great!!" My feelings towards Organic is F*ck that. If you know you stuffed your face then work out accordingly. Although, I do hate being in the wilderness for 4 weeks and run out of food. Lose weight by eating popcorn :-)

  • Amazing!

  • haha! I< 3 you taraaaa!

  • Good video. I spotted secret monkey on this video. Are you still in the carribean?

  • good advice.

  • Well, I'd like to add that one should also be aware of how much calories are in the things one regularly eats.

Just ask random people how much calories they think an ordinary burger has... You will definitely be surprised.

  • perhaps deep angles would be a "better" name... maaaaaast sssssstop monotyping.

  • Thanks for the great posting, and that is a very cute dress you are wearing.

  • Very sensible advice. Thanks for sharing. Glad I found this channel (missed you from fordmodels suddenly...).

  • i am a vegetarian and i think it would be a great idea if you give tips on what to eat and more things to stay away from it would really help me and my mother thank you!

  • Cool,thanks for the advice.... =D

  • Tara Stiles is so positive - it's great!

I've eliminated high fructose corn syrup and white bread - I feel fantastic!

I've also recently become vegetarian - SO MUCH more energy.

and YES! Your body is NEVER craving McDonalds! Stay away from fast food!

  • Yoga rules as well, your stretch your hammies video is one of my favorites.....i am always having problems keeping my hamstrings loose.

Seems like if i stop for even 3-4 days they tighten up completely again

  • I box as well, best work-out on the planet
