Is the thing linear?
I.e., if you start with the joystick centred it gives a certain sound.
Move the joystick back & forth, etc.
Recentre the joystick.
Are the before and after sounds the same and do you produced the same sound if you move the joystick in the same direction?
What are the variables of the x-y movements of the joystick?
