This 4th movement of the 7th I think was Beethoven at his most liveliest and fun. It really is a wonderful piece of music and I really enjoy hearing it.

This is pure rhythm. Fantastic! The orchestra has a strong, specially precise and powerful performance. I like too much Sawallisch conduction. The tempo is perfect, not so much rapid, not so much slow. A special mention deserves the guest timpanist. This movement is like a solo for drummer . My dream is to stay here in the orchestra, playing timpanis.

I worked at the Munich Opera while he was the Intendant and music director and everything he conducted was absolutely a thrill to see or be a part of. This is truly one of the great conductors!
