Thank you for your nice comment about my work. About the feet, I have actually carved feet onto the sculpture. They are tucked up under the feathers as is normal when woodcock fly, so they are not very obvious. You can see photos showing this more clearly on my website, (under "originals" click on the woodcock photo) :
I love your technique and understanding, I am also a sculptor of animals in wood... but my technique is different. here the result of precision is extraordinary! I put at No. 2 of my favorites !!! good good good music too
Excellent piece of work yet again. Thank you to Lesley and yourself for producing the video clip and sharing your skills. I've finally finished the blue tit from your carving course - i think I have a long way to go before I get to your standard!
Thanks very much for the positive feedback. Good news to hear that the blue tit has reached completion. I hope that you are already working on another project that will stretch you a little further. All the best.
Great video yourselves. Reminds me of some free diving I was doing myself off the south coast of Maui some 20ish years ago. Similar arches a swim through caves. Stunning stuff. Thanks for the comment.
Most excellent Mr Prickett. A little scared of the look in your eye when you have the chain saw lol Keep up the good work and thanks again for sharing your skills.
