Even before COD 4 came out I was always facinated with this location. It is the Pompeii of the 20th. century in my oppinion. I hope it is safe enough to visit one day.

Of course it is - if you know what you are doing, to be honest I wouldn't, i will touch something that i shouldnt touchl or do other stupid thing ;p.

But it is a closed zone and I think people need some documents to get there legal. But it seems not hard to get - some travel agencies are even making trips there :P

it already is safe enough to visit, just irradiated in some areas- you need to watch out. i think you can go on tours into chernobyl nowadays, too

@Kuewt You can't go on tours into the Chernobyl nuclear plant, it would be far too dangerous because you would get radiation poisoning just by entering the plant without a full radiation protection suit and gas masks and stuff, and pripyat is not safe, most apartements are filled with radiation, so are all the plants and foilage.
